Dosage form Polygynax Virgo - an emulsion for intravaginal administration in capsules: capsules - soft, oval, with a pointed elongated tip, have a color from light yellow to light brown; the contents of the capsule are an oil emulsion from light yellow to brown (3 capsules in a blister, in a cardboard box 1 or 2 blisters).
Composition of 1 capsule:
- active substances: neomycin sulfate - 35,000 IU, polymyxin B sulfate - 35,000 IU, nystatin - 100,000 IU;
- auxiliary components: hydrogenated soybean oil, Dimethicone 1000, Tephos 63 (esters of palmitic and stearic acids);
- capsule shell: gelatin, glycerol, dimethicone 1000, purified water.

Polygynax Virgo is designed for use in pediatric gynecology and is a combined drug that has antifungal and antibacterial effects.
The drug has bactericidal activity against gram-positive (including corynebacterium, Staphylococcus aureus, etc.) and gram-negative bacteria (including Escherichia coli, Haemophilus influenzae, Enterobacter aerogenes, Enterococcus fecium, Proteus vulgaris, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, synegbacterium tuberculosis.
Fungicidal action of Polygynax Virgo is directed against pathogenic fungal strains, in particular yeast-like fungi of the genus Candida albicans (thrush), cryptococci and histoplasms.
In addition, the drug helps to improve trophic processes in the vaginal mucosa.
Intravaginal administration of capsules ensures a uniform distribution of active ingredients over the surface of the vagina.

Indications for use
According to the instructions, Polygynax Virgo is indicated for use in pediatric gynecology for the treatment of the following diseases:
- vaginitis (nonspecific, fungal, mixed);
- vulvovaginitis;
- cervicovaginitis.
In addition, the drug is used for prophylaxis before surgical operations in the genital area, as well as before intrauterine diagnostic procedures.
Contraindications

Polygynax Virgo for children is used intravaginally, 1 capsule per day, after evening dress, before bedtime. The pointed end of the capsule should be cut and, by pressing on the capsule, its contents should be inserted into the vagina. The used capsule must be disposed of.
Both prophylactic and therapeutic course of use is 6 days, unless otherwise recommended by a doctor.
