Klimalanin is a drug used to reduce the severity of symptoms accompanying the climacteric period ("hot flashes", a feeling of heat, headache).

The active component of Klimalanin (the amino acid β-alanine) stops the rapid release of histamine, which has an anti-climacteric effect.
