Composition of 1 ml of shampoo:
- active substance: d-phenothrin - 2 mg;
- additional components: camphor, PAR base, acetic acid (90%), purified water, aromatic composition.
Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
Parasidosis is an anti-pediculosis agent that belongs to the group of pyrethroid insecticides. The activity of the drug is due to the synthetic pyrethroid d-phenotrin, which provides neurotoxic effects on sexually mature individuals and lice larvae. The agent leads to disruption of cation exchange in the membranes of insect nerve cells.
Additional components of the preparation help to remove nits from the hair by dissolving the substance with which they stick to the hair. The anti-lice effect of the product is enhanced by the presence of surfactants in the shampoo, which form foam when water is applied to the hair.
Indications for use
According to the instructions, Parasidosis is recommended for use for the treatment of head lice of the scalp in children and adults.
Contraindications
- age under 2.5 years old;
- pregnancy and lactation;
- wounds and scratches on the scalp;
- hypersensitivity to any component of the shampoo.
Instructions for use of Parasidosis: method and dosage
Parasidosis shampoo is used only externally.
Before carrying out the procedure, you should comb dry hair with a regular thick comb for lice. Especially carefully it is required to examine the areas above the forehead, behind the ears, as well as the back of the head. Insects are recommended to be combed out on a pre-laid sheet of white paper, which then needs to be thrown away or burned.
If lice are found, the hair should be washed with regular shampoo, then rinsed and dried with a towel. After vigorously shaking the shampoo bottle, apply a sufficient amount of the product to damp hair and then rub in so that the resulting foam completely covers the hair and scalp. After 3 minutes, wash off the shampoo with water, then reapply, rub into your hair and leave for another 3 minutes. After that, it is recommended to thoroughly rinse the hair and comb out dead insects and their larvae with a comb.
The procedure can be repeated if necessary after 24 hours.
