Release form and composition
The dosage form of the drug is an ointment for external use: yellow, somewhat loose structure (in glass jars of 15, 25, 30, 40, 50, 70 g or in aluminum tubes of 25, 30, 40, 50 g, in a cardboard box 1 jar / tube).
Composition of 100 mg ointment:
- active substance: sulfur - 33.33 mg;
- additional components: petroleum jelly - 40 mg; emulsifier T2 - 6.67 mg; purified water - 20 mg.

The active substance of the drug is sulfur, when applied to the skin, it interacts with organic substances with the subsequent formation of sulfides and pentathionic acid, which have an antiparasitic and antimicrobial effect.
Indications for use
Simple sulfuric ointment is prescribed for the treatment of scabies.
As part of complex therapy, the drug is also used for seborrhea, lichen, psoriasis, acne, sycosis and mycoses.
Contraindications

Simple sulfuric ointment is applied externally.
The duration of therapy is 5 days.
The drug is used according to the following scheme:
- 1st and 4th days: treatment should be carried out in the evening before bedtime. You should first wash thoroughly with soap and warm water in the shower. The ointment is required to be rubbed into the skin of the hands, then the trunk and legs, including the fingers and soles. After processing, use only clean clothes and linen;
- 2-3rd day: a break, while the remnants of the ointment should not be washed off the skin;
- 5th day: the ointment must be completely washed off.
After treatment, hands must not be washed for 3 hours, then they are treated with ointment after each wash. If the ointment is washed off from other areas of the skin, they should also be reprocessed.
For acne Sulfur ointment simple is applied in a thick layer to problem areas of the skin, used simultaneously with diet therapy, taking multivitamins or other drugs prescribed by a dermatologist.
Side effects
In rare cases, when using the ointment, local allergic reactions are possible (manifested as itching and urticaria).
