Meditonsin, instructions for use: method and dosage

Meditonsin drops are taken orally (the liquid is kept in the mouth for some time before swallowing), 20-30 minutes before or after a meal.

Patients with an acute stage of the disease are advised to take the first dose of the homeopathic remedy as early as possible, when the first signs of deterioration appear.

Adults and children should use Meditonsin 1 time in 30-60 minutes for 1-2 days. The frequency of using drops should not exceed 12 times a day. As soon as an improvement in the patient's condition is noted, the frequency of administration is reduced to 1-3 times a day.

The duration of therapy is determined by the homeopathic physician on an individual basis. On average, it is 7 days.

A single dose for patients of different age categories is:

  • children 1–6 years old: 2 to 5 drops;
  • children 6–12 years old: 3 to 6 drops;
  • children from 12 children and adults: from 5 to 10 drops.

Side effects

During the period of use of the drug, patients may develop allergic reactions. Increased salivation is extremely rare. If these or any other undesirable phenomena appear, it is important to seek medical help from a doctor.

Overdose

To date, no cases of overdose have been reported.

special instructions

The earlier treatment with Meditonsin begins, the more effective its therapeutic effect.

It should be borne in mind that against the background of the use of homeopathic remedies, the manifestations of the disease (primary deterioration) may temporarily worsen. In such cases, it is necessary to cancel the drug and consult a doctor.

If after 2 days of taking drops in patients with an acute course of the disease there is no improvement, it is recommended to cancel the homeopathic remedy and seek medical advice.

The drug contains ethyl alcohol. Its content in the maximum single / daily dose, depending on the patient's age, is respectively:

  • children 1-6 years old: 5/60 drops - 0.0000166 / 0.0001999 g;
  • children 6-12 years old: 6/72 drops - 0.0000199 / 0.0002399 g;
  • children from 12 years old and adults: 10/120 drops - 0.0000333 / 0.0003999 g.

The blood alcohol content that can be achieved in cases of using the homeopathic remedy in the recommended doses is values that do not exceed the endogenous blood alcohol concentration. It should be borne in mind that it is impossible to exceed the recommended doses, since this can lead to a decrease in the speed of psychomotor reactions.

Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and complex mechanisms

Patients during the treatment with Meditonsin should be careful when driving or conducting potentially hazardous activities, the performance of which requires increased attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.

Application during pregnancy and lactation

Meditonsin during pregnancy and during breastfeeding is prescribed with caution in cases where the predicted therapeutic effect for the mother outweighs the possible risks to the fetus and child. Before starting treatment with the drug, it is important to consult a doctor.

Pediatric use

Meditonsin is contraindicated in children under 1 year of age (there is insufficient clinical experience in using the drug in patients of this age group). In children from 1 year old, the use of the drug requires medical supervision (since the drops contain ethyl alcohol).
