Meditonsin is a homeopathic medicine that is effective in the treatment of colds.
Release form and composition
Dosage form - homeopathic drops for oral administration: transparent, slightly yellowish or colorless (in a cardboard box 1 bottle of dark glass containing 35 or 70 g of homeopathic solution, complete with a polyethylene dropper cap and instructions for using Meditonsin).
Composition for 1 g of drops:
- active substances: Aconite (Aconite) D5 - 0.1 g; atropine sulfate (Atropinum sulfuricum) D5 - 0.5 g; mercury cyanide (Mercurius cyanatus) D8 - 0.4 g;
- auxiliary components: a mixture of ethanol 94% (by weight), glycerin 85% and purified water in a volume ratio of 5 ÷ 10 ÷ 85.

Meditonsin is a complex homeopathic remedy, the pharmacological properties of which are determined by the active substances contained in its composition.
Indications for use
Meditonsin is used in complex treatment for the symptomatic treatment of diseases such as:
- flu;
- parainfluenza and acute respiratory diseases;
- pathology of the upper respiratory tract and ENT organs.
Contraindications
Absolute:
- children under 1 year old;
- individual intolerance to the components of the homeopathic preparation.
Relative (Meditonsin drops are prescribed under medical supervision):
- liver disease;
- pathology of the brain;
- traumatic brain injury;
- epilepsy;
- alcoholism;
- pregnancy and the period of breastfeeding;
- children's age from 1 year.
Meditonsin, instructions for use: method and dosage
Meditonsin drops are taken orally (the liquid is kept in the mouth for some time before swallowing), 20-30 minutes before or after a meal.
Patients with an acute stage of the disease are advised to take the first dose of the homeopathic remedy as early as possible, when the first signs of deterioration appear.
Adults and children should use Meditonsin 1 time in 30-60 minutes for 1-2 days. The frequency of using drops should not exceed 12 times a day. As soon as an improvement in the patient's condition is noted, the frequency of administration is reduced to 1-3 times a day.
The duration of therapy is determined by the homeopathic physician on an individual basis. On average, it is 7 days.
A single dose for patients of different age categories is:
- children 1–6 years old: 2 to 5 drops;
- children 6–12 years old: 3 to 6 drops;
- children from 12 children and adults: from 5 to 10 drops.
Side effects
