Release form and composition
Dosage form - liquid extract (solution) for oral administration: liquid from light brown (with a shade of orange) to reddish brown, with a specific odor (in 100 ml bottles, 1 bottle in a cardboard box and instructions for use of Lespeflan).
The active substance is the shoots of Lespedeza bicolor: in 100 ml - 70.8 g.
Auxiliary components: ethanol 95%, anise oil, purified water.
Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
Lespeflan is a concentrated liquid extract obtained from medicinal plant raw materials of the shoots of Lespedeza bicolor of the legume family. The total amount of flavonoids contained in the extract, calculated as luteolin-7-glucoside ≥ 0.05%.
The drug has diuretic and hypoazotemic efficacy, which is expressed in an increase in glomerular filtration, a decrease in the concentration of nitrogen metabolism products in the blood serum, an increase in the clearance of nitrogenous compounds (urea, uric acid and creatinine).
Indications for use
The drug is used in the complex therapy of chronic renal failure of various origins in the latent, compensated and intermittent stages.

- Lactation;
- Hypersensitivity to components.
Lespeflan, instructions for use: method and dosage
Lespeflan solution should be taken orally, 5-15 ml (1 teaspoon-1 tablespoon) 3-4 times / day. If necessary, immediately before taking, the product can be diluted with water.
The duration of treatment is 3-4 weeks. According to the doctor's prescription, a second course is possible in 2-3 weeks.
Side effects
With hypersensitivity to the drug, allergic reactions are possible, in some cases hyponatremia develops.
Overdose
Overdose can be caused by ethyl alcohol contained in the preparation.
It is recommended to carry out symptomatic therapy of alcohol intoxication.

Taking into account the plant origin of the drug, during storage of the solution, the formation of a light sediment is possible, which does not affect the effectiveness of the drug.
In case of development of hyponatremia, administration of sodium preparations is indicated.
Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and complex mechanisms
It should be noted that the maximum daily dose (15 ml) contains 18.9 g of absolute alcohol, which may lead to a decrease in the rate of reactions. This is important when driving vehicles or engaging in potentially hazardous industries that require increased attention, speed of psychomotor reactions.
Application during pregnancy and lactation
It is contraindicated to take Lespeflan to pregnant and lactating women.
Pediatric use
The drug is not used in pediatrics to treat children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
For violations of liver function
It is contraindicated to take Lespeflan in patients with liver disease.
Drug interactions
Due to the presence of ethanol in the Lespeflan solution, it cannot be prescribed to patients receiving insulin, hypoglycemic agents (sulfonylurea derivatives, metformin) and drugs that depress the central nervous system.
The simultaneous use of drugs that cause alcohol intolerance is contraindicated, since this is fraught with the development of a disulfiram-like effect.
