Release form and composition

Dosage form of Defisleza - eye drops: slightly opalescent or transparent, weakly colored or colorless (in bottles with a dispenser nozzle of 5 or 10 ml, in a cardboard box 1 bottle).

Composition of 1 ml drops:

• active substance: hypromellose (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose) - 0.003 g;
• auxiliary components: water for injection, sodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate (sodium phosphate disubstituted 12-aqueous), sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate (sodium phosphate monosubstituted 2-aqueous), disodium edetate [salt of disodium ethylenediamine-N, N'-N'-acid, N ' 2-aqueous (Trilon B)], sodium chloride, benzalkonium chloride.

Pharmacodynamics

Dephysliasis is a protector of the corneal epithelium, which has a lubricating and softening effect with reduced tear fluid secretion. The high viscosity increases the contact time of the agent with the cornea. Its refractive index is similar to that of natural tears.

The use of drops serves to restore and stabilize the optical characteristics of the tear film. Against the background of reduced secretion of tear fluid, the drug has a protective effect on the cornea and lengthens the effect of other eye drops.

Indications for use

• condition after keratectomy, keratoplasty, thermal burns of the conjunctiva and cornea, plastic surgery on the eyelids;
• ectropion;
• deformation of the eyelids;
• lagophthalmos;
• microdefects of the corneal epithelium;
• keratopathy;
• erosion and trophic ulcers of the cornea;
• bullous dystrophic changes in the cornea;
• dry eye syndrome (as part of a comprehensive treatment);
• echobiometry, electrooculography, electroretinography, gonioscopy.

Contraindications

• acute phase of chemical burns of the conjunctiva and cornea (until the complete removal of toxic substances or necrotic tissue);
• pregnancy;
• lactation period;
• individual intolerance to the components contained in the preparation.

With caution, Defislez eye drops are prescribed for children under the age of 18 (provided that the benefits of therapy exceed the possible risks).

Instructions for the use of Defislez: method and dosage

Drops are applied topically (instilled into the lower conjunctival sac).

The recommended dose is 1-2 drops 4-8 times a day. If necessary, it is allowed to use 1-2 drops every hour.

The duration of therapy is 14–21 days.

In cases of echobiometric examination of the eyeball, electrooculography, electroretinography or gonioscopy, 1 drop is instilled once.

Side effects

Against the background of Dephyslosis therapy, the development of allergic reactions, blurred vision immediately after instillation, a feeling of sticking of the eyelids (due to the high viscosity of the drops), irritation or burning sensation in the eye is possible.
