Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics

Venolgon is a balanced complex for strengthening and maintaining normal blood vessels. It can be used as part of the complex treatment of varicose veins and for the purpose of its prevention. Improves microcirculation and rheological properties of blood, strengthens blood vessels, reduces edema and permeability of the vascular wall. As a result of the use of the drug, the tolerance of physical activity in patients with varicose veins of the legs increases and their quality of life improves.

The action of Venolgon is due to the properties of its constituent components:

  • horse chestnut: improves microcirculation, accelerates blood flow in the veins, reduces capillary permeability, increases the tone of venous vessels, eliminates venous congestion, which prevents the formation and growth of thrombosis, has a pronounced anti-inflammatory effect. Esculin contained in horse chestnut stimulates the antithrombotic activity of blood serum and increases the production of antithrombin in the reticuloendothelial vascular system, escin - lowers blood viscosity, has a pronounced venotropic effect;
  • red grapes: increases the tone of venous vessels, accelerates blood flow in the veins, which prevents the formation and growth of thrombosis, normalizes blood outflow through the veins of the legs, normalizes metabolism in tissues, eliminates pain, swelling, heaviness in the legs, cramps and signs of superficial inflammation, promotes a decrease in the severity of the capillary network (spider veins);
  • dihydroquercetin (a natural flavonoid isolated from larch wood): has a pronounced antioxidant property, has a vasoregulatory effect on the entire vascular system (veins, arteries and capillaries), reduces blood viscosity, reduces the permeability of the vascular wall, thereby improving blood flow and reducing edema;
  • hesperidin: has an angioprotective and venotonic effect, improves microcirculation and lymph drainage, reduces capillary permeability and increases their resistance, increases the tone of veins and reduces their extensibility, thereby reducing venous stasis;
  • rutin: normalizes the condition and strengthens the capillaries, increases their strength, promotes better absorption of ascorbic acid and prolongs its action;
  • ascorbic acid: increases the body's resistance to infections, participates in the regulation of blood coagulation, carbohydrate metabolism, collagen and procollagen synthesis, the formation of steroid hormones, redox processes, normal capillary permeability.
