Brilliant green is an antiseptic preparation intended for external use.
Release form and composition
The drug is produced in the form of a solution for external use of alcohol 1% in dark glass vials of 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50 and 100 ml.
The active ingredient of the solution is brilliant green, contains 60% ethanol as auxiliary components.
Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics
The drug has the following effects:
- antiseptic (destruction of gram-positive microorganisms);
- fungicidal (destruction of some strains of pathogenic fungi).
Does not have analgesic, anti-inflammatory or irritating effects.
Limited external use does not allow obtaining information about the absorption of the drug into the bloodstream, as well as about its participation in biochemical or metabolic processes in the body.

- Fresh wounds after trauma and surgery;
- Abrasions;
- Blepharitis;
- Pyoderma.
