Biosporin is a probiotic drug that normalizes the intestinal microflora.
Release form and composition
The drug is produced in the following dosage forms:
- Tablets (1 dose: 10 pcs. In non-cell contour packs; 10, 20 or 30 pcs. In vials; 2 doses: 10 pcs. In vials);
- Lyophilisate for the preparation of a suspension for oral administration and local use (in vials of 1, 2, 5, 10 doses, in a cardboard box 10 vials and instructions for the use of Biosporin).
Composition of 1 tablet:
- 1 dose: from 100 million to 2 billion lyophilized bacteria Bacillus licheniformis and from 1 billion to 8 billion lyophilized bacteria Bacillus subtilis;
- 2 doses: 200 million to 4 billion lyophilized Bacillus licheniformis bacteria and 2 billion to 16 billion lyophilized Bacillus subtilis bacteria.
The composition of 1 dose of lyophilisate for preparation of suspension for oral administration and topical application includes: from 1 billion to 8 billion microbial cells of lyophilized bacteria Bacillus subtilis and from 100 million to 2 billion microbial cells of lyophilized bacteria Bacillus licheniformis.
Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
Bacteria included in Biosporin have a high antagonistic activity against pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microorganisms; they have no effect on representatives of normal microflora.
Also, bacteria synthesize a complex of enzymes that stimulate and regulate the digestion process.
Indications for use
Biosporin is prescribed:
- For the treatment of acute intestinal infections caused by various pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms (Staphylococcus, Salmonella, enteropathogenic Escherichia coli, Shigella, Proteus, Candida), including antibiotic-resistant (in diseases of mild and moderate severity, in severe forms in patients with contraindications to antibiotics);
- When microorganisms (pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic) are isolated or dysfunction of the gastrointestinal tract after acute intestinal infections;
- With intestinal dysbiosis of various origins, including those caused by antibiotic therapy;
- For the prevention of postoperative infections, including septic complications;
- With vulvovaginal candidiasis, bacterial vaginosis in women of reproductive age, including pregnant women (after undergoing a course of antibiotic therapy).
Contraindications
The use of Biosporin is contraindicated in the presence of hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Biosporin, instructions for use: method and dosage
Biosporin is taken orally 30-40 minutes before meals. Before taking, the contents of the bottle are dissolved in boiled water - 5 ml per 1 dose of the drug.
For adults, the drug is prescribed in 2 doses at a time. For intestinal infections, the drug is taken 3 times a day, after operations and for dysbiosis - 2 times a day.
The course of treatment for intestinal infections lasts from 5 to 7 days, after operations and with dysbiosis - from 10 to 14 days.
In the treatment of vulvovaginal candidiasis and bacterial vaginosis, the use of Biosporin is indicated in the form of irrigation and intravaginal injections, for which 2 doses of the agent are used. The course of local treatment is from 5 to 10 days.
For children, Biosporin is prescribed 1 dose 2 times a day. The average duration of a treatment course in the presence of intestinal infections is 5 days, with dysbiosis - 10-14 days.
