Beconase is an antiallergic agent that reduces the edema of the epithelium and the secretion of mucus by the bronchial glands, causing relaxation of the smooth muscles of the bronchi, reducing their hyperreactivity, improving the parameters of external respiration.
Release form and composition
Dosage form - dosed spray for intranasal use (200 doses in plastic bottles).
Active substance: beclomethasone, in 1 dose - 50 mcg.
Indications for use
Beconase is a drug for the prevention and treatment of seasonal and year-round allergic rhinitis.
Contraindications
- children under 6 years old;
- hypersensitivity to drug components.
Carefully:
- glaucoma;
- amebiasis;
- hypothyroidism;
- severe liver failure;
- herpes of the eyes;
- recent myocardial infarction;
- systemic infections (bacterial, fungal);
- ulceration of the nasal septum;
- recent injuries to the nose;
- recent surgical interventions in the nasal cavity;
- pulmonary tuberculosis;
- pregnancy and lactation.
Method of administration and dosage
Beconase is administered intranasally.
Adults and children over 6 years old are prescribed 2 injections into each nasal passage 2 times a day, or 1 injection into each nostril 3-4 times a day. The maximum daily frequency of use is 8 times.
To achieve the full therapeutic effect, the drug should be used regularly, since an improvement in the condition is noted only after several uses.
Side effects
Sneezing attacks are possible immediately after inhalation.
In isolated cases, there is a perforation of the nasal septum.

For nasal and sinus infections, appropriate treatment should be given.
Patients with impaired renal function receiving general-action steroids should be closely monitored during the transfer to Beconase.
Drug interactions
The interaction of beclomethasone with other drugs has not been described.
The action of the drug can be enhanced by other concomitantly used glucocorticoids, as well as b-adrenergic receptors.
Terms and conditions of storage
Store in a dark place, out of reach of children, at temperatures up to 30 ° C. Refrigerated storage is not allowed.
Shelf life is 2 years.
