Barberry comp is a complex drug used in the treatment of angina and adenoiditis.
Release form and composition
Dosage form of release of Barberry Comp - homeopathic granules: homogeneous; shape - correct, spherical; color - white, white with a cream or gray tint; odor - do not have (in dark glass bottles of 20 g, 1 bottle in a cardboard box).
Active ingredients:
- iodum (Iodum) D6;
- berberis, fructus (berberis vulgaris e fructibus) [Berberis, Fructus (Berberis vulgaris e fructibus)] D4;
- thuja (thuja occidentalis) [Thuja (Thuja occidentalis)] D12;
- eupatorium perfoliatum (Eupatorium perfoliatum) D6.

Indications for use
Barberry comp is prescribed as part of the complex treatment of the following diseases:
- hypertrophy of the adenoids (adenoiditis);
- chronic tonsillitis (tonsillitis).
Contraindications
Absolute:
- age up to 3 years;
- hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Pregnancy and lactation are relative contraindications to taking Barberry Comp (the appointment is possible after medical advice and assessment of the benefit / risk ratio).
Method of administration and dosage
Barberry comp is taken orally (kept under the tongue until completely dissolved). The granules should be used in compliance with the intervals between meals (half an hour / 60 minutes).
For therapeutic purposes, the drug is prescribed in the following single doses:
- adults and children from 12 years old: 10 pellets;
- children 6-12 years old: 8 pellets;
- children 3–6 years old: 1 pellet per 1 year of life.
Frequency rate of admission - 2 times a day. Barberry comp is taken in a course of 5 days, after which it is necessary to take a break for 2 days. The duration of therapy is from 7 to 10 days.
For prophylactic purposes, a single therapeutic dose is taken 3 days a week, 1 time per day according to the same scheme for 6 weeks.
Repeated courses are possible.
