Gripex is a remedy for eliminating the symptoms of colds and acute respiratory infections.
Release form and composition
Gripex is produced in the form of flat-cylindrical tablets, from white with a yellowish tinge to white, with a risk on one side and a chamfer on both sides (12 tablets in a blister of PVC / aluminum foil, 1 or 2 blisters in a carton box).
Active ingredients in 1 tablet:
- paracetamol - 325 mg (it is laid taking into account the excess - 370.14 mg);
- pseudoephedrine hydrochloride - 30 mg (taken into account the excess - 30.75 mg);
- dextromethorphan hydrobromide monohydrate (in terms of dextromethorphan hydrobromide) - 10 mg (calculated with an excess of 10.25 mg).
Excipients in 1 tablet:
- microcrystalline cellulose - 90.86 mg;
- pregelatinized corn starch - 63 mg;
- sodium croscarmellose - 15 mg;
- stearic acid - 12 mg;
- magnesium stearate - 6 mg;
- colloidal silicon dioxide - 2 mg.
Indications for use
The drug is used to treat symptoms of colds.
Contraindications
It is not recommended to take Gripex in case of hypersensitivity to the components of the drug (paracetamol, dextromethorphan, pseudoephedrine).
Do not use the drug in case of severe impairment of kidney or liver function, severe coronary heart disease (including angina pectoris) or arterial hypertension, children under 12 years of age.
The simultaneous use of Gripex with drugs containing antidepressants and drugs for the treatment of Parkinson's disease is contraindicated.
Do not take without a doctor's prescription for thyroid diseases, increased intraocular pressure, urinary disorders associated with prostatic hyperplasia, diabetes mellitus.
Gripex should not be taken simultaneously with monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors, and also two weeks after the end of their intake.
With caution, Gripex is used for glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, Gilbert's syndrome, in elderly patients, as well as in patients with blood diseases, in particular, severe forms of anemia.
The drug should be used with caution in patients with alcoholism, as well as weakened and emaciated patients.
Method of administration and dosage
Gripex is indicated for oral administration.
Adults and children over 12 years of age are prescribed 1-2 tablets no more than 4 times a day with an interval between doses of at least 4 hours. The duration of the drug intake is no more than 3-5 days.
Side effects
When used in recommended doses, side effects are extremely rare.
- sometimes (more than 0.1%, but less than 1%): dry mouth, nausea, irritability, drowsiness, agitation;
- rarely (more than 0.01%, but less than 0.1%): tachycardia, anemia, thrombocytopenia, high blood pressure, dizziness, epigastric pain, agranulocytosis, allergic reactions (itching, urticaria, rash, Quincke's edema).
With prolonged use in high doses, hepatotoxic effect, aplastic anemia, pancytopenia, hemolytic anemia, nephrotoxicity (interstitial nephritis, renal colic, capillary necrosis) are possible.

You should not take the drug for more than 5 days without a doctor's prescription.
If there is no improvement, you need to seek the advice of a specialist.
It is not recommended to exceed the indicated dose.
During the use of Gripex, you must refrain from drinking alcohol.
Drug interactions
The patient should inform his attending physician about any drugs used, in particular those containing metoclopramide, warfarin, cholestyramine, domperidone.
Simultaneous administration of Gripex with antiepileptic drugs, barbiturates, chloramphenicol, rifampicin, methyldopa, dihydroergotamine, fluoxetine or haloperidol is inadmissible.
You should not take Gripex at the same time as other drugs containing paracetamol.
When used simultaneously with MAO inhibitors, the development of a hypertensive crisis is possible.
