Aertal is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug used to relieve inflammation, fever, pain in rheumatism, and reduce morning stiffness and swelling.
Release form and composition
Aertal dosage forms:
- Film-coated tablets: biconvex, round (about 8 mm in diameter), covered with a white film coating, with one-sided engraving "A" (in blisters of 10 pcs., In a carton pack of 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 or 9 blisters);
- Powder for making a suspension for oral administration: white with a cream shade or white (in three-layer bags, 20 bags in a cardboard box);
- Cream for external use: a homogeneous substance of white color (in 60 g aluminum tubes, 1 tube in a cardboard box).
The active substance of all forms of release is aceclofenac.
In 1 tablet:
- Active ingredient: aceclofenac - 100 mg;
- Excipients: croscarmellose sodium, microcrystalline cellulose, glyceryl distearate (type I), povidone.
In 1 package:
- Active ingredient: aceclofenac - 100 mg;

Indications for use
The use of Aertal is recommended to relieve pain and reduce inflammation in diseases such as:
- Lumbago;
- Shoulder-scapular periarthritis;
- Rheumatism of soft tissues;
- Osteoarthritis;
- Ankylosing spondylitis;
- Rheumatoid arthritis;
- Other diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
Aertal is also successfully used to relieve toothache.
The cream for external use suppresses the development of edema and erythema, regardless of the etiology of inflammation, has a local analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect.
Contraindications
- Ulcer, erosion and bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract;
- Bronchospasm;
- Hives;
- Rhinitis caused by taking aspirin and other non-steroidal drugs;
- Severe liver failure;
- Violations of the hematopoiesis process;
- Hyperkalemia;
- Breastfeeding, pregnancy;
- Hypersensitivity to the active and auxiliary substances of the drug.
Aertal in any form of release is not prescribed for children under 18 years of age.
The drug should be taken with caution by patients with diseases of the kidneys, liver, gastrointestinal tract, bronchial asthma, high blood pressure, ischemia, chronic hepatic and / or renal failure, diabetes, peripheral arterial disease, in old age, with alcohol, nicotine abuse, with prolonged use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Contraindications for the use of the drug in the form of a cream is a violation of the integrity of the skin at the site of the intended application.
Method of administration and dosage
Aertal tablets cannot be chewed or crushed. The required therapeutic dosage is prescribed by the doctor, on average it is 100 mg - 2 tablets per day, which are taken in 2 doses (morning and evening).
Powder Aertal for the manufacture of a suspension for oral administration, if necessary to reduce the severity of pain, can be used once. For the treatment of diseases, 1 sachet is prescribed in the morning and 1 sachet in the evening. The suspension should be prepared as follows: dissolve the contents of the package in 40-60 ml of water, drink the resulting mixture immediately.
Aertal cream is used exclusively for external use; the cream should not be applied under pressure bandages.
The cream is rubbed with light movements on the area of possible lesion 3 times a day in an amount based on 1.5-2.0 g (approximately the size of a pea) per 5-7 cm 2 of the body surface.
Side effects
The use of Aertal can have a negative effect on various body systems:

Aertal reduces the effectiveness of drugs against high blood pressure, diuretics. In combination with potassium-sparing diuretics, the drug can cause hyperkalemia or hyperglycemia.
The risk of side effects increases with the simultaneous use of Aertal with glucocorticosteroids or other nonsteroidal drugs. In addition, the drug may increase the nephrotoxicity of cyclosporine.
It is necessary to exercise caution in patients with renal, hepatic, heart failure, as well as with other diseases involving the development of edema. Taking NSAIDs in this category of patients can lead to a deterioration in renal excretion and the occurrence of edema.
Caution should be observed when prescribing Aertal simultaneously with diuretics, with an increased risk of hypovolemia, as well as in elderly patients.
Aceclofenac powder should not be prescribed for patients with fructose intolerance, as it contains 2640 mg of sorbitol, which can cause indigestion or diarrhea.
It is important for patients with phenylketonuria that each sachet of powder contains 5.61 mg of phenylalanine.
Patients who experience dizziness, a feeling of weakness, and other disorders of the central nervous system when taking aceclofenac should not drive complex mechanisms and vehicles.
