Acecor is a drug with hypotensive, antianginal, antiarrhythmic action.
Release form and composition
Dosage form - tablets (10 or 15 pcs. In a blister, 2 blisters in a cardboard box).
The active ingredient is acebutolol, its content in 1 tablet is 0.2 g or 0.4 g.
Indications for use
- acute and chronic forms of coronary insufficiency;
- hypertension;
- heart rhythm disturbances caused by excessive impulses of the sympathetic nervous system.
Contraindications
- bradycardia;
- heart failure;
- violation of intraventricular or atrioventricular (AV) conduction;
- severe kidney disease;
- bronchial asthma;
- individual intolerance to the components of the drug.
It is recommended to prescribe Acecor with caution to patients with low blood pressure (BP), diabetes mellitus, while concomitant therapy with reserpine.
It is not recommended to use the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Method of administration and dosage
The tablets are taken orally, preferably before meals, with a sufficient amount of liquid.
Recommended dosage: 0.2 g 2-3 times a day.
Side effects
Against the background of the use of Acecor, it is possible to develop such undesirable effects as dyspeptic disorders, nausea, anorexia, sleep disturbance, asthenia.

Cancellation of the drug is carried out by gradually reducing the daily dose.
Since the use of the drug in patients with low blood pressure is associated with the risk of developing heart failure, treatment should be accompanied by regular monitoring to identify symptoms of this pathology.
Drug interactions
Acecor cannot be used simultaneously with monoamine oxidase inhibitors, halogen-containing drugs for anesthesia (causes an increase in the negative inotropic effect).
When combined with sympatholytics (including reserpine), the drug accelerates the depletion of catecholamine depots.
Terms and conditions of storage
Store at room temperature. Keep out of the reach of children.
Shelf life is 2 years.
