Alka-Prim is a combined non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with a pronounced analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic effect, helps to reduce the severity of vegetative-vascular disorders, reduce psycho-emotional stress, the toxic effect of ethanol on the central nervous system, improve mood, increase mental performance.

Release form and composition

Dosage form - effervescent tablets: round flat shape, white, when dissolved in water they fizzle strongly (in strips: 2 pcs., In a cardboard box 1 or 5 strips; 10 pcs., In a cardboard box 1 strip).

Content of active ingredients Alka-Prima in 1 tablet:

  • Acetylsalicylic acid - 0.33 g;
  • Glycine - 0.1 g.

Auxiliary components: sodium bicarbonate, citric acid.

Indications for use

  • Increased body temperature against the background of viral and infectious diseases, including the common cold;
  • Mild or moderate pain syndrome of various etiologies, including migraine, headache, muscle, menstrual and toothache, neuralgia, arthralgia;
  • Alcohol withdrawal syndrome.

Contraindications

  • Acetylsalicylic acid intolerance in combination with bronchial asthma and recurrent polyposis of the paranasal sinuses and nose;
  • Hemorrhagic diathesis: hemophilia, thrombocytopenic purpura, von Willebrand disease, hypoprothrombinemia, telangiectasia, thrombocytopenia;
  • Severe renal and / or liver dysfunction;
  • Exacerbation of erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT);
  • Concomitant therapy with methotrexate at a dose of 15 mg per week or more;
  • Age up to 15 years in children with acute viral respiratory infections (the risk of Reye's syndrome - encephalopathy and acute fatty liver disease with the development of liver failure);
  • Age under 12;
  • I and III trimesters of pregnancy and the period of breastfeeding;
  • Individual intolerance to the components of the drug, acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs.

Alka-Prim should be prescribed with caution to patients with bronchial asthma, nasal polyposis, gout, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer, hyperuricemia, history of gastrointestinal bleeding, hay fever, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), drug allergy trimester of pregnancy, while using methotrexate at a dose below 15 mg per week.

Method of administration and dosage

Effervescent tablets are taken orally after complete dissolution in a glass of water.

Recommended dosage regimen: 1-2 pcs. 2-4 times a day, observing the interval between doses of the drug 4 hours or more.

The daily dose for adults should not exceed 9 pcs., A single dose - 3 pcs.

Taking the drug without medical supervision as a pain reliever should not exceed 7 days, antipyretic - 3 days.

Side effects

  • Digestive system: pain in the epigastric region, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea;
  • Allergic reactions: bronchospasm, skin rash, Quincke's edema against the background of a combination of bronchial asthma, intolerance to acetylsalicylic acid and pyrazolone drugs, and recurrent polyposis of the nose and paranasal sinuses;
  • Hematopoietic system: anemia, thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, prolonged blood clotting time, hemorrhagic syndrome (bleeding gums, nosebleeds);
  • Others: with prolonged use of large doses, it is possible - general weakness, bleeding, erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract, black tarry stools, interstitial nephritis, prerenal azotemia with hyperkalemia and increased blood creatinine levels, bronchospasm, acute renal failure, edema, papillary necrosis, nephrotic syndrome, increased symptoms of chronic heart failure, increased activity of liver enzymes, aseptic meningitis.

In case of symptoms of side effects, taking the tablets should be discontinued and a doctor should be consulted.

special instructions

Patients with an increased risk of developing pruritus, bronchial asthma, urticaria, swelling of the nasal mucosa or rhinitis of allergic etiology are not recommended to use Alka-Prim without medical supervision.

With concomitant therapy with antidiabetic drugs, regular monitoring of blood sugar levels is required.

With the simultaneous use of glucocorticosteroids, diuretics and antihypertensive agents, care must be taken.

Antacids, including aluminum or magnesium hydroxide, should be taken 2 hours after the effervescent tablets.

With prolonged use of the drug, a general blood test should be performed periodically and the feces should be examined for the presence of blood.

The negative effect of tablets on the ability to drive vehicles and mechanisms has not been established.

Drug interactions

With the simultaneous use of Alka-Prima:

  • Insulin, oral hypoglycemic agents and anticoagulants, methotrexate, glucocorticosteroids, other NSAIDs, valproic acid - enhance their effect;
  • Sulfinpyrazone, diflunisal, fenoprofen, ibuprofen, indomethacin, piroxicam, naproxen, sulindac, tubular secretion blocking agents - weaken their therapeutic effect;
  • Myelotoxic drugs - increase the hematotoxicity of effervescent tablets.
