Agiflux is a combined preparation with antacid, adsorbent and enveloping action.

Release form and composition

Dosage form - chewable tablets: round, flat on both sides, white (there may be single dark inclusions), with a mint smell (in blisters of 10 pcs., 2 blisters in a cardboard box).

Active ingredients in 1 tablet:

  • Aluminum hydroxide (including aluminum oxide at least 76.5%) - 400 mg;
  • Magnesium hydroxide - 400 mg

Auxiliary components: povidone, mannitol, isopropanol, sodium saccharinate, sorbitol, sucrose, purified water.

Lubricant composition: magnesium stearate, colloidal silicon dioxide, peppermint leaf oil.

Indications for use

  • Acute gastritis;
  • Exacerbation of chronic gastritis with normal or increased secretory function;
  • Peptic ulcer, symptomatic stomach and duodenal ulcers;
  • Acute duodenitis;
  • Acute pancreatitis;
  • Chronic pancreatitis in the acute phase;
  • Hernia of the diaphragm and esophageal opening;
  • Reflux esophagitis;
  • Erosion of the mucous membrane of the upper gastrointestinal tract;
  • Hyperphosphatemia;
  • Putrid or fermentative dyspepsia (as part of combination therapy);

Contraindications

Absolute:

  • Alzheimer's disease;

Method of administration and dosage

Agiflux should be taken orally by chewing or holding the tablets in the mouth until it is completely dissolved.

Adults are prescribed 2-3 tablets 1-2 hours after meals and at night, with stomach ulcers - half an hour before meals. If the need arises, a single dose is increased to 3-4 tablets. After improving the condition, as a maintenance therapy, Ajiflux is shown to take 1 tablet 3 times a day for a course of 2-3 months.

Adolescents over 12 years of age are prescribed 1 tablet 1-2 hours after a meal and at night, with stomach ulcers - half an hour before meals.

Side effects

  • From the gastrointestinal tract: rarely - a change in taste, nausea, constipation, vomiting;
  • Others: with prolonged use of the drug in high doses - osteomalacia, hypercalciuria, hyperaluminemia, hypocalcemia, hypermagnesemia, hypophosphatemia, renal impairment, nephrocalcinosis, encephalopathy, osteoporosis.

In patients with renal insufficiency, thirst, hyporeflexia, and a decrease in blood pressure are possible.

At least 2-hour intervals should be observed between taking Agiflux and other drugs.

During treatment, it is necessary to ensure a sufficient intake of phosphorus salts with food.

Information for patients with diabetes mellitus: 1 tablet of Agiflux contains 40 mg of sucrose, which corresponds to less than 1 XE (bread unit).

The drug does not affect the speed of reactions and the ability to concentrate, therefore it can be used to treat people regardless of their area of professional activity.

Drug interactions

Adzhiflyuks retards and reduces the absorption of the following medicines: barbiturates (to be taken at 1 hour before or 2 hours after taking an antacid), blockers of H 2 histamine receptors, indirect anticoagulants, beta-blockers, chenodeoxycholic and ursodeoxycholic acid, salicylates, tetracycline antibiotics a number of and quinolones (grepafloxacin, ciprofloxacin, enoxacin, ofloxacin, norfloxacin, etc.), ketoconazole, itraconazole, digoxin, phenytoin, pivampicillin, azithromycin, rifampicin, chlorpromazine, indomethacinifluxidamidamidamin fexofenadine.

M-anticholinergics slow down the emptying of the stomach, thereby strengthening and prolonging the effect of Ajiflux.
