Tambukan mud is an antiseptic external medicine of natural origin.

Pharmacological action of Tambukan mud

Healing Tambukan mud has an antimicrobial effect, stimulating regenerative processes in various skin lesions.

The source of sulphide silt mud is the salt lake Tambukan, located on the border with Kabardino-Balkaria.

According to some estimates, the healing properties of the Tambukan mud are not inferior to the mud of the Dead Sea in Israel. The healing properties are due to:

An organic component, which includes amino acids, humic acids, resinous substances and bitumen;
Mineral component, including gases, as well as slightly soluble compounds of minerals and salts of clay origin.

Candles with Tambukan mud have antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects, as well as stimulate the processes of regeneration and microcirculation and contribute to the restoration of tissue trophism.

Release form

Healing mud is produced both in pure form (in briquettes of 3 kg) and as part of medicinal preparations.

Tambukan mud as an active ingredient is part of the Tambuil preparation in the form of:

Oily solution for external use. The composition of the drug includes high-molecular organic acids (saturated and unsaturated), glycerides, phospholipids (cephalin, lecithin), sterols, chlorophyll and carotenoids. 50, 100 and 200 g each;
Candles with Tambukan mud, containing an extract of the biosubstance of silt therapeutic mud, cocoa butter, natural propolis and an auxiliary component - emulsifier T-2.

The analogs of Tambukan mud in terms of the mechanism of action are preparations in various dosage forms:

Liniment - Alorom, Anmarin, Dermatolo-tar liniment, Camfocin, Naftaderm;
Gel for external use - Anmarine;
Solution for external use - Anmarin, Aseptolin, Katapol, Bactoderm, Curiosin, Dioxizol, Ammonia with glycerol and ethanol;
Oil for external use - Vitaon;

Indications for the use of Tambukan mud

The use of Tambukan mud is shown when:

Acute and chronic radiation damage to the skin;
Ulcers and wounds of various origins (especially long-term non-healing);
Burns.

Tambuil oil solution based on mud is used as an external antiseptic, as well as in case of increased perspiration.

Candles with medicinal mud are indicated for use in:

Sigmoiditis;
Fissured rectum;
Chronic prostatitis and cervicitis;
Proktyte;
Hemorrhoids.

Contraindications

Contraindications to the Tambukan mud are hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, as well as inflammatory skin diseases.

Mode of application

Tambukan mud in its pure form, as well as in the form of an oil solution, is applied in a thin layer to the affected areas. It is possible to use the drug under bandages, which should be changed every other day.

Rub the areas of excessive sweating with an oil solution of Tambuil, based on mud, once a day.

The mud solution should not be applied to the mucous membranes and the face area.

The frequency and duration of the use of candles with Tambukan mud must be agreed with the doctor.

Side effects

Tambukan mud, according to reviews, causes undesirable side effects in very rare cases. They most often manifest as minor allergic reactions such as hives or dermatitis.

As a rule, the side effects from the use of Tambukan mud, according to reviews, are not expressed and do not require the drug to be canceled.
