Sydnopharm is a drug with analgesic, antianginal, vasodilating, antihypertensive, antiplatelet effect, used to prevent angina attacks.

Release form and composition

Dosage form Sidnopharm - tablets: light pink, biconvex, round, on one side - risk; with a characteristic mint smell (10 pcs. in blisters, 3 blisters in a cardboard box).

Composition of 1 tablet:

  • active substance: molsidomin - 2 mg;
  • additional components: mannitol - 40 mg; microcrystalline cellulose - 21.4 mg; lactose monohydrate - 60 mg; magnesium stearate - 1.6 mg; hypromellose - 5 mg; wheat starch - 26.99 mg; peppermint leaf oil - 1 mg; anhydrous colloidal silicon dioxide - 2 mg; yellow dye "Sunset Sun" (E110) - 0.01 mg.

Indications for use

Sydnopharm is recommended for the prevention of angina attacks.

Contraindications

Absolute:

  • low left ventricular filling pressure;
  • acute myocardial infarction in combination with arterial hypotension;
  • collapse;
  • severe arterial hypotension (with systolic pressure up to 100 mm Hg);
  • toxic pulmonary edema;
  • cardiogenic shock;
  • combined use with sildenafil;
  • pregnancy and the period of breastfeeding;
  • age up to 18 years (for this category of patients, the safety profile has not been studied);
  • hypersensitivity to drug substances.

Relative; Sydnopharm is prescribed with caution in the presence of the following diseases / conditions:

  • increased intracranial pressure;
  • condition after suffering a hemorrhagic stroke;
  • tendency to arterial hypotension;
  • disorders of cerebral circulation;
  • glaucoma (especially - angle-closure);
  • elderly age.

Method of administration and dosage

Sydnopharm is taken orally with sufficient liquid. Food intake has no effect on the effectiveness of the drug. The tablet should be swallowed whole without chewing.

The doctor sets the dosage regimen and duration of the course individually.

The recommended initial single dose is 1–2 mg, the frequency of use of Sidnopharm is 2 to 3 times a day (if the therapeutic effect is not expressed enough). The maximum per day is 6 mg.

Side effects

  • gastrointestinal tract: loss of appetite, nausea, diarrhea;
  • allergic reactions: itching, skin rash, bronchospasm; rarely - anaphylactic shock;
  • central nervous system: headache (usually insignificant, disappears during further therapy), slowing down of the speed of psychomotor reactions (most often at the beginning of the course), dizziness;
  • cardiovascular system: often - a decrease in blood pressure (blood pressure), collapse (the severity of the disorder is greater with an initially elevated blood pressure in comparison with an initially normal or low blood pressure), tachycardia, redness of the facial skin.

The first dose of the drug should be taken with caution and under the control of blood pressure, since intense headaches and an excessive decrease in blood pressure, accompanied by loss of consciousness, are possible.

During the therapeutic course, alcohol intake should be avoided.

Elderly patients with functional impairment of the kidneys / liver and arterial hypotension need dose adjustment.

During the period of taking Sidnopharm (especially at the beginning of the course), you should refrain from driving and performing types of work that pose a potential danger, requiring increased attention and quick psychomotor reactions.

Drug interactions

With the combined use of Sidnopharm with certain drugs / substances, the following effects may develop:

  • ethanol, drugs with vasodilating, antihypertensive action: an increase in the severity of the antihypertensive action;
  • acetylsalicylic acid: enhancement of its antiplatelet effect.

Terms and conditions of storage

Store in a dark, dry place out of reach of children at temperatures up to 25 ° C.
