Saridon is a combined drug with analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effects.
Release form and composition
Dosage form - tablets: white, round flat shape with beveled edges, on one side there is a dividing line, on the other - the SARIDON logo is embossed, odorless (10 pcs. In a blister, 1 blister in a cardboard box).
Content of active ingredients in 1 tablet:
- paracetamol: 0.25 g;
- propiphenazone: 0.15 g;
- caffeine: 0.05 g.
Auxiliary components: casein formaldehyde, microcrystalline cellulose, methylhydroxypropyl cellulose, corn starch, anhydrous finely dispersed silicon, magnesium stearate, talc.
Pharmacological properties
Due to the fact that paracetamol and propyphenazone are included in Saridon, the drug has anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and analgesic effects. Caffeine eliminates the feeling of fatigue and drowsiness, affects the cardiovascular system, namely, increases blood pressure in patients with hypotension, increases heart rate, in combination with other active ingredients - enhances the analgesic effect of the drug.
Indications for use
- pain of various etiologies, including toothache, headache, postoperative and post-traumatic pain, myalgia, neuralgia, migraine pain, sciatica, pain in dysmenorrhea;
- high body temperature caused by infectious and inflammatory diseases, including colds.
Contraindications
- ischemic heart disease, angina pectoris;
- severe impairment of kidney or liver function;
- glaucoma;
- leukopenia;
- insomnia;
- anemia;
- genetic deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase;
- simultaneous consumption of alcohol;
- increased excitability;
- age up to 12 years;
- individual intolerance to the components of the drug.
Reception of Saridon during pregnancy and breastfeeding is undesirable.
Instructions for the use of Saridon: method and dosage
Saridon tablets are taken orally, after meals, with plenty of water or other liquid.
Recommended dosage:
- adults: 1 pc. 3-4 times a day, a single dose, if necessary, can be increased to 2 pcs. The maximum daily dose is 6 pcs.;
- teenagers from 12 to 18 years old: ½ – 1 pc. 2-3 times a day.
Duration of admission as an anesthetic is no more than 5 days, antipyretic - no more than 3 days.
Side effects
- blood system: rarely - leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, agranulocytosis;
- allergic reactions: nausea, vomiting, sometimes - skin reactions;
- others: dizziness, palpitations, sleep disturbances; possibly (against the background of long-term administration of high doses) - nephrotoxic and hepatotoxic effects.
Overdose
Signs of acute intoxication associated with taking the drug in high doses include: stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, tachycardia, pale skin, excessive sweating. It is recommended to perform gastric lavage, prescribe adsorbents (for example, activated carbon) and consult a specialist.

Application during pregnancy and lactation

Drug interactions
During the treatment period, concomitant use of anticonvulsants, barbiturates, carbamazepine, rifampicin, ethanol-containing drugs should be avoided.
When combined with metoclopramide, the absorption of paracetamol is accelerated.
With concomitant therapy with ergotamine, it should be borne in mind that caffeine accelerates its absorption.
The action of propiphenazone reduces the activity of potassium-sparing diuretics, enhances the effect of anticoagulants and oral hypoglycemic agents.
