Liquid extract for oral and topical use Rotokan

Rotokan is a combined herbal medicinal product of local antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, regenerating and hemostatic action.

Release form and composition

Rotokan is available in the form of a liquid extract for oral administration and topical application: a dark brown liquid with an orange tint and a specific odor; the appearance of a precipitate during storage is allowed (25 ml, 50 ml, 90 ml, 100 ml and 110 ml each in dark glass vials or cans, one bottle or one can in a cardboard box; 25 ml or 50 ml each in dropper bottles, in a cardboard box pack one bottle).

Composition of 1 liter of Rotokan hydroalcoholic extract:

pharmacy chamomile flowers - 500 g;
medicinal calendula flowers - 250 g;
common yarrow herb - 250 g.

Indications for use

In dental practice, Rotokan extract is used for the following inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity:

periodontitis;
aphthous stomatitis;
ulcerative necrotizing gingivostomatitis.

In gastroenterological practice, the drug is used in the complex treatment of diseases such as:

chronic enteritis;
gastroduodenitis;
colitis.

Contraindications

Rotokan is contraindicated in case of increased individual sensitivity to the components.

Method of administration and dosage

The drug is used in the form of an aqueous solution. It is prepared immediately before use at the rate of 1 teaspoon of the extract per 1 cup of boiled warm water. If Rotokan is well tolerated, the dose can be increased to 3 teaspoons per 1 glass of water.

In dental practice for inflammatory diseases of the oral mucosa, an aqueous solution of the drug is used 2-3 times a day by rinsing for 1-2 minutes or applications lasting 15-20 minutes. The duration of treatment is from 2 to 5 days.

In case of periodontitis, after the procedure for removing tartar and cleansing pathological gingival pockets, thin turundas are introduced into them, previously abundantly moistened with Rotokan solution. This procedure is carried out daily or every other day for 20 minutes (a total of 4-6 applications are required).

In gastroenterological practice, the drug is used internally, as well as in microclysters. Inside Rotokan is taken half an hour before meals or 40-60 minutes after meals. A single dose is 60-100 ml of a diluted solution (1 / 3-1 / 2 glass). Frequency rate of application - 3-4 times a day. The duration of therapy is 2-3 weeks.

For microclysters, 50-100 ml of Rotokan solution is required. The procedure is carried out 1-2 times a day, after making a preliminary cleansing enema. The duration of treatment is 3-6 days.
