Rinikold is a combined agent for the symptomatic treatment of acute respiratory diseases, has an analgesic, antipyretic, vasoconstrictor effect, helps to eliminate nasal congestion and reduce discharge from it, has a stimulating effect on the central nervous system, has a decongestant and antiallergic effect.

Release form and composition

Dosage form - tablets: oval biconvex, white, with a dividing line on one side (10 pcs. In blisters or strips, in a cardboard box 1, 2, 3 or 4 blisters or strips).

Content of active substances of Rinikold in 1 tablet:

• Paracetamol: 0.5 g;
• Phenylephrine hydrochloride: 0.01 g;
• Caffeine: 0.03g
• Chlorphenamine maleate: 0.002 g.

Auxiliary components: sodium starch glycolate, polyvinylpyrrolidone, microcrystalline cellulose, methylparaben, gelatin, starch, talc, magnesium stearate, propylparaben.

Indications for use

The use of Rinikold is indicated for the treatment of colds associated with fever, chills, headache, nasal congestion, rhinitis, pain in joints and muscles.

Contraindications

• Simultaneous use of drugs, the active substances of which duplicate the composition of the drug;
• Age up to 6 years;
• The period of pregnancy and breastfeeding;
• Concomitant therapy with tricyclic antidepressants, beta-blockers, monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAO);
• Individual intolerance to the components of the drug.

It is recommended to prescribe Rinikold with caution to patients with hereditary pathology of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, hepatic and / or renal failure, Gilbert's syndrome, arterial hypertension, blood diseases, angle-closure glaucoma, bronchial asthma, prostate adenoma, diabetes mellitus, functional disorders.

Method of administration and dosage

The tablets are taken orally.

The dose and period of use is prescribed by the doctor, taking into account the patient's age.

Recommended dosage:

• Adults: 1-2 pcs. with an interval between doses of 4-6 hours, but not more than 8 pcs. per day;

• Furazolidone, MAO inhibitors - can cause agitation, hypertensive crisis;
• Tricyclic antidepressants - enhance the sympathomimetic effect of the drug;
• Guanethidine - enhances the alpha-adrenostimulating effect of phenylephrine, but reduces its hypotensive effect;
• Halothane - Increases the risk of ventricular arrhythmias.
