Neo Penotran is a local antifungal and antibacterial drug used in gynecology.

The active ingredient Neo Penotrana has a local antifungal, antiprotozoal and antibacterial effect. The components included in the preparation are active against:
- Trichomonas vaginalis;
- Pathogenic fungi including Candida albicans;
- Gardnerella vaginalis;
- Anaerobic bacteria, including anaerobic streptococcus.

Release form
Neo Penotran is produced in the form of vaginal suppositories, 7 pieces per package, containing different amounts of the active substance:
- Suppositories Neo Penotran - 500 mg of metronidazole and 100 mg of miconazole nitrate;
- Suppositories Neo Penotran Forte - 750 mg of metronidazole and 200 mg of miconazole nitrate;
- Suppositories Neo Penotran Forte-L - 750 mg of metronidazole, 200 mg of miconazole nitrate and 100 mg of lidocoin.

Indications for use of Neo Penotran

Contraindications

- Severe liver dysfunction, including porphyria;
- Hematopoiesis disorders;
- Diseases of the peripheral and central nervous system;
- Hypersensitivity to metronidazole, miconazole nitrate or other components of the drug.
In the first trimester of pregnancy, Neo Penotran is contraindicated, and in the second and third trimesters, the use of the drug is possible only under strict indications.
