Pharmacological properties

Multi-tabs Perinatal is a combined preparation containing a complex of vitamins and minerals.

The pharmacological effectiveness of Multi-tabs Perinatal is determined by the properties of the components that make up its composition, namely:

  • retinol (vitamin A): takes part in the metabolism of glycosaminoglycans and glycoproteins, which are necessary for the construction of various epithelial tissues; affects the metabolism of lipids and the processes of their peroxidation; it is necessary to maintain the immune status, the processes of reproduction and photoreception, development, growth and differentiation of tissues;
  • cholecalciferol (vitamin D 3): regulates the processes of mediators of immune and inflammatory reactions, hormone synthesis, differentiation and proliferation of cells, bone mineralization processes, phosphorus-calcium metabolism;
  • ascorbic acid (vitamin C): has an antioxidant effect; promotes the absorption of inorganic iron from the digestive tract; normalizes capillary permeability; stimulates the formation of steroid hormones; takes part in the regulation of tissue regeneration and blood clotting, metabolism in connective tissue and carbohydrate metabolism, oxidation of a number of biologically active substances;
  • alpha-tocopherol (vitamin E): is a natural antioxidant; maintains the stability of membranes and cell structures, which is important for the normal development of the body, the functioning of the muscular and nervous systems; when combined with selenium, it inhibits the oxidation of unsaturated fatty acids (a component of the microsomal electron transport system); prevents hemolysis of erythrocytes;
  • thiamine (vitamin B 1): essential for the biosynthesis of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine; plays an important role in the processes of energy metabolism; takes part in the construction of coenzymes of a number of important enzymes that regulate the main stages of the metabolism of various nutrients, and above all carbohydrates;
  • riboflavin (vitamin B 2): takes part in the construction of visual purpura, protecting fiber from excessive exposure to ultraviolet radiation, in the processes of energy metabolism and biological oxidation;
  • pyridoxine (vitamin B 6): necessary for the normal functioning of the central and peripheral nervous system, hemoglobin synthesis, fat and carbohydrate metabolism; takes part in the exchange of amino acids;
  • cyanocobalamin (vitamin B 12): contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system; participates in erythropoiesis and the formation of various enzymes that regulate different types of metabolism in the body;
  • nicotinamide: necessary for the normal function of the nervous system and skin; takes part in biological oxidation and redox processes;
  • pantothenic acid (in the form of calcium pantothenate): takes part in the metabolism of proteins, fats and carbohydrates;
  • folic acid: prevents the development of congenital malformations in the fetus (neural tube defects); plays an important role in the processes of growth and development; participates in the metabolism and methylation reactions of a number of amino acids, the biosynthesis of nucleic acids and proteins;
  • calcium: takes part in the contraction of smooth and skeletal muscles, the transmission of nerve impulses, blood clotting and the formation of bone tissue;
  • magnesium: participates in protein synthesis and the formation of bone / muscle tissue;
  • iron: is a constituent of redox enzymes; participates in cellular respiration, oxygen transport in the body; prevents the occurrence of anemia during pregnancy inclusive;
  • zinc: ensures the normal course of wound repair and healing processes, hematopoiesis, taste and smell; supports reproductive function and adequate immunological status; necessary for normal growth, development and puberty;
  • copper: takes part in the protection of cells from the toxic effects of activated oxygen, iron metabolism, the synthesis of collagen and elastin (important connective tissue proteins); contributes to the regulation of biological oxidation processes;
  • manganese: is a participant in lipid and carbohydrate metabolism; ensures normal metabolism of connective tissue, osteogenesis processes, growth, maintenance of reproductive function;
  • chromium: reduces the number of lipid peroxidation products; interacts with free radicals and reactive oxygen species; stabilizes cell membranes; participates in the synthesis of insulin, regulation of cholesterol metabolism, lipid and carbohydrate metabolism; maintains normal glucose tolerance;
  • selenium: is a constituent of glutathione peroxidase (an enzyme system) that protects biological membranes from the damaging effects of free radicals;
  • iodine: is of particular importance in the first and second trimester of pregnancy, when the organs and systems of the fetus are being formed, including the thyroid gland; is the basis of thyroid hormones (triiodothyronine and thyroxine), which perform vital functions - they regulate the growth and development of the body, the activity of the sex and mammary glands, the nervous system and the brain.
