Release form and composition

Lutein is available in the following dosage forms:

Vaginal tablets (in blister strip packs of 15 pcs., 2 packs in a cardboard box);
Sublingual tablets (in polymer bottles of 30 pcs., 1 bottle in a cardboard box).

The composition of 1 tablet vaginal and sublingual contains the active substance: micronized progesterone - 50 mg.

Indications for use

Deficiency of endogenous progesterone, manifested by dysmenorrhea, anovulatory cycles, menstrual irregularities, endometriosis of the uterus, premenstrual syndrome;
Artificial insemination (as one of the drugs in the protocol);

Contraindications

Lactase deficiency, glucose / galactose malabsorption syndrome and galactosemia;

Dysfunctional uterine bleeding: single dose - 50 mg, frequency of application - 2 times a day. The duration of therapy is 5-7 days. After that, they switch to the use of Luteins 2 times a day, 25-50 mg from 15 to 25 days of the cycle. The recommended duration of therapy is 2-3 consecutive cycles;
Endometriosis: single dose - 50-100 mg, frequency of application - 2 times a day. The duration of therapy is 6 months;

Side effects

In most cases, lutein is well tolerated.

During therapy, there may be observed: drowsiness, weakness, increased fatigue, decreased concentration and memory, headaches, dizziness and depression. In some cases, it is possible to develop feelings of unreasonable fear and change in body weight. There is also evidence of isolated cases of acne, skin hyperemia, intermenstrual bleeding, amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, bile outflow disorders, allergic reactions, thrombosis.
