Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
Dolgit is a drug with a local anesthetic, decongestant and anti-inflammatory effect. It has a suppressive effect on the production of inflammatory mediators, blocks cyclooxygenase (COX-1, COX-2) and inhibits the synthesis of prostacyclin (PG12), thromboxane B2 (TB2) and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2).
The analgesic effect is most pronounced for inflammatory pain. Ibuprofen promotes the disappearance or reduction of pain syndrome (including pain at rest and during movement), reduces morning swelling and joint stiffness, allowing you to increase the range of motion.
Along with the anti-inflammatory effect, ibuprofen in inflammation reduces platelet aggregation, leukocyte migration and the release of lysosomal enzymes.
Pharmacokinetics
When applied topically to the skin, ibuprofen penetrates into deep tissues (subcutaneous tissue, muscle tissue, joints and synovial fluid), reaching therapeutic concentrations. In the area of application, the therapeutic effect is achieved through direct distribution through the skin in the target tissue. In blood plasma, it is determined in insignificant quantities. If the recommended method of application is followed, the concentration of the active substance in the synovial fluid is approximately 2 μg / ml.
