Release form and composition
Doctor IOM is produced in the form of a syrup: with a pineapple scent, dark green (in 100 ml green polyethylene terephthalate bottles, 1 bottle in a cardboard box, complete with a measuring cup).
The composition of 100 ml of syrup contains active substances (in the form of dry extracts):
- Adhatoda vasika (roots, leaves, bark and flowers of adatoda wasiki) - 0.6 g;
- Aloe barbadensis (leaves, juice and pulp of aloe barbadensis) - 0.5 g;
- Ocinum sanctum (leaves, seeds and roots of holy basil) - 1 g;
- Inula racemosa (roots of elecampane) - 0.2 g;
- Zingiber officinale (rhizomes of medicinal ginger) - 0.1 g;
- Curcuma longa (rhizomes of turmeric long) - 0.5 g;
- Solanum indicum (roots, fruits and seeds of Indian nightshade) - 0.2 g;
- Piper cubeba (fruits of cubeba pepper) - 0.1 g;
- Glycyrrhiza glabra (licorice roots naked) - 0.6 g;
- Terminalia belerica (fruits of terminalia belerica) - 0.2 g;
- Levomenthol - 0.06 g.
Auxiliary components: sucrose, sorbic acid, glycerol, sodium methyl parahydroxybenzoate, citric acid monohydrate, sodium benzoate, sodium propyl parahydroxybenzoate, pineapple flavor, BQ Supra dye (dyes: brilliant blue and quinoline yellow), purified water.

The drug has expectorant properties.
Pharmacodynamics
Cough syrup Doctor IOM is made on the basis of natural ingredients without the use of drugs and alcohol. The features of the action are due to the properties of the ingredients that make up the drug:
- cubeb pepper provides an expectorant and anti-inflammatory effect;
- holy basil has an antiseptic, antipyretic, diaphoretic and expectorant effect;
- adatoda wasica has an antispasmodic, mucolytic and expectorant effect;
- long turmeric is characterized by anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties;
- aloe barbados has a decongestant and expectorant effect;
- naked licorice provides a sedative, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, expectorant effect;
- medicinal ginger provides a strong anti-inflammatory effect;
- Indian nightshade is used as an antipyretic and expectorant;
- elecampane brush color has antiseptic, antispasmodic, expectorant properties;
- terminalia belerica provides anti-edema and expectorant effect;
- levomenthol acts as an analgesic, antispasmodic and antiseptic.
The drug helps to eliminate inflammatory processes in the body, stimulates sputum discharge, relieves coughing.
Indications for use
According to the instructions, Doctor IOM is prescribed for the symptomatic treatment of chronic and acute diseases of the respiratory tract, which are accompanied by cough with difficult sputum or dry cough, including bronchitis, pharyngitis, tracheitis, laryngitis (including "lecturer's").
Contraindications
- Age up to 3 years;
- Hypersensitivity to drug components.
Reception of Doctor IOM by lactating and pregnant women is not recommended (due to the lack of sufficient clinical data on the efficacy and safety of the drug in this group of patients).
Instructions for use Doctor IOM: method and dosage
The syrup is taken orally.
Depending on age, the drug is prescribed in the following single doses:
- Children 3-5 years old - 2.5 ml;
- Children 6-14 years old - 2.5-5 ml;
- Children from 14 years old and adults - 5-10 ml.
Frequency rate of admission - 3 times a day. 1 teaspoon contains 5 ml of syrup.
The duration of the therapeutic course is 14-21 days.
On the recommendation of a doctor, it is possible to increase the duration of taking the drug and repeat courses.
Side effects
Allergic reactions may develop while taking the drug.

There are no data on overdose.

The syrup Doctor MOM contains sugar, which should be taken into account in diabetes mellitus, as well as in patients following a hypocaloric diet.
One adult single dose contains 3.75-7.5 g of sucrose, which corresponds to 0.31-0.62 bread units (XE).
Application during pregnancy and lactation
It is forbidden to use the drug during pregnancy and during breastfeeding.
Pediatric use
Syrup Doctor IOM is contraindicated for the treatment of patients under the age of 3 years.
Drug interactions
The simultaneous use of Doctor IOM for cough with antitussive drugs is not recommended (due to a possible violation of the discharge of sputum liquefied by taking the drug).
