Wantong Artiplas is a topical anti-inflammatory agent with an analgesic effect.
Release form and composition
Dosage form - a plaster 7 × 10 cm (2 pcs. In a bag of combined material, in a cardboard box 3 bags).
100 cm 2 plasters contain:
- borneol: 50 mg;
- racemic menthol: 50 mg;
- Aconite roots of Carmichel (thick extract): 36.2 mg;
- Corydalis rhizome (dense extract): 36.2 mg;
- roots of aconite Kuznetsov (thick extract): 36.2 mg;
- rhizome and roots of Sichuan lovage (dense extract): 36.2 mg;
- Dahurian angelica roots (dense extract): 22.5 mg;
- methyl salicylate: 20 mg;
- diphenhydramine hydrochloride: 18 mg;
- Clove buds (bush extract): 14.5 mg
- Chinese Cinnamon Bark (dense extract): 14.4 mg
- strawberry roots (thick extract): 14.4 mg;
- safflower flowers (dense extract): 14.4 mg.
Indications for use
The use of Wantong Artiplas is indicated in the complex therapy of osteoarthritis as a means for local anesthesia.
Contraindications
- violation of the integrity of the skin, open wounds or inflammatory skin diseases (including eczema, dermatitis) at the intended site of application;
- During pregnancy and breastfeeding;
- age up to 18 years;
- individual intolerance to the components of the drug.
Method of administration and dosage
The patch is intended for external use.
After preliminary removal of the protective layer of paper from the strip of the patch, it is applied to the intact and clean skin of the problem area of the body.
The dose of the drug is prescribed by the doctor, taking into account the severity of clinical manifestations.
Recommended dosage: 1 pc. within ½ – 1 days. The duration of treatment is 14 days. If necessary, the course of therapy can be repeated.
Side effects
- in rare cases: itching or redness of the skin at the site of application of the patch;
- possible: the development of allergic reactions.
special instructions
As a prevention of possible skin redness or itching, it is recommended to first apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly or neutral cream to the site of the intended application of the patch.
Drug interactions
The simultaneous use of Wantong Artiplas with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs contributes to the potentiation of the clinical effect of each of the drugs.
