Betulin is a biologically active food supplement (BAA), an additional source of betulin, a substance extracted from birch bark with high physiological activity; its regular use helps to protect against internal and external pathogenic influences on the body.
Release form and composition
Betulin dosage form: capsules weighing 180 mg (15 pcs. In a package).
1 capsule contains:
- active substance: high purity betulin (birch bark extract 99.9%) - 40 mg;
- auxiliary component: microcrystalline cellulose;
- capsule shell: titanium dioxide, gelatin, iron oxide.
Component properties
The effect of the capsules is based on the high biological activity of betulin, which has hepatoprotective, neuroprotective, antiviral, antiseptic, hypocholesterolemic, hypolipidemic, antihypoxant, choleretic, antilithogenic, antimutagenic, regulating the immune system, antioxidant, gastroprotective and anti-tumor effects.
Indications for use
- acute and chronic liver damage of any etiology, including those complicated by cholestasis - for the treatment and prevention of conditions;
- insufficiency of cerebral circulation is an effective therapy for patients with the development of severe and irreversible damage to brain neurons;
- viral infections (herpes simplex, type A influenza virus, bird flu, hepatitis C, HIV-1) - when taken orally, betulin induces the synthesis of interferon;
- open damage to the skin and mucous membranes - accelerating healing;
- cholesterol deposits - a decrease in triglycerides, cholesterol and the number of atherosclerotic plaques;
