We fight hypertension: 5 best folk remedies
Hypertension (persistent increase in blood pressure) affects about 20% of the world's population. This disease adversely affects the standard of living, reduces the ability to work, and in the absence of systematic treatment threatens with complications such as myocardial infarction, stroke, and other serious ailments that can lead to disability or sudden death. Most patients take medications prescribed by doctors to maintain pressure at a more or less acceptable level. However, you can also fight hypertension with folk remedies. We present five of the most effective of them to your attention.
Honey and beekeeping products
Bee honey is a unique biologically active product, which contains many substances that have a beneficial effect on the human body. Honey has a calming effect on the nervous system, reduces vascular sclerotization, reduces blood viscosity, and helps to normalize kidney function. Other beekeeping products have similar properties: propolis, bee bread, royal jelly.
It is interesting that honey not only has a hypotensive effect, but also optimizes blood pressure, that is, it reduces it when it rises and increases it when it falls. Therefore, it is useful to take preparations with honey in cases where the pressure jumps. In order to combat hypertension, honey is recommended to be taken in a mixture with bee bread or with berries that have a pronounced diuretic effect (for example, with lingonberries or cranberries). Contraindication - the patient's tendency to allergic reactions to honey and bee products.

Sunflower seeds
Everyone knows that sunflower seeds and the oil extracted from them are used for food. But seeds also provide invaluable help for hypertensive patients, since they contain a large amount of niacin, which dilates blood vessels and optimizes blood flow.
The medicinal broth is prepared as follows: two glasses of raw unpeeled seeds are poured over 2 liters of cold water and boiled over low heat for two hours. The strained broth must be drunk during the day, divided into 100 ml portions. Regular intake of this remedy ensures the normalization of blood pressure and has practically no side effects.

Beet juice
The antihypertensive effect of red beets has been known for a long time. The effect of lowering pressure is provided by a unique combination of vitamins, microelements, amino acids and mineral salts in the root vegetable. In addition, beets have a moderate diuretic effect, and the fiber included in their composition prevents the absorption of cholesterol by the intestines, which prevents vascular sclerotization.
As a remedy for hypertension, raw beet juice is taken in a mixture with honey, or carrot and horseradish juices, or with water in a 1: 1 ratio. Beets are also great because they are very easy to use. Simply put, in order to be treated, it is enough to eat it regularly. People who eat boiled red beet salad every morning have been shown to maintain their blood pressure at an optimal level throughout the day. Beet kvass is no less useful - a pleasant refreshing drink that can also bring relief from hypertension.
The use of beets for medicinal purposes has contraindications. Preparations and dishes from this root vegetable are not allowed for people suffering from gout, diabetes, urolithiasis and some gastrointestinal pathologies.
