Arthro-Active are complementary preparations for internal and external use, stimulating the restoration of articular cartilage in trauma, osteoarthritis and osteochondrosis.
Release form and composition
Arthro-Active is available in four dosage forms:
- Ointment Artro-Active (nourishing cream-balm) (in tubes of 35 g, 1 tube in a cardboard box). The ointment contains: chondroitin sulfate, glucosamine sulfate, acetyl glucosamine, boswellia (frankincense) extract;
- Artro-Active tablets, 0.5 g (10 pcs. In blisters, in a cardboard box 4 blisters). In the composition of the tablets: dry extract of frankincense resin, chondroitin sulfate, glucosamine sulfate, collagen hydrolyzate, microcrystalline cellulose, calcium stearate, cream flavor;
- Capsules Artro-Active, 0.44 g (18 pcs. In blisters, in a cardboard box 2 blisters). The capsules contain: oil extract of Siberian cedar seeds and turmeric roots, dry extract of frankincense tree resin, natural lemon essential oil;
- Warming oil balm Artro-Active (in tubes of 20 g, 1 tube in a cardboard box). As part of the oil balsam: Boswellia (Frankincense) extract, capsaicin.
Indications for use
Arthro-Active in capsules is used to treat the musculoskeletal system:
- Pain syndromes in the back, neck and joints caused by injury or illness;
- Degenerative-dystrophic diseases of the spine and joints (osteochondrosis and osteoarthritis);
- Conditions after bone fractures and joint operations (acute period).
Arthro-Active in the form of an ointment is used:
- Osteochondrosis of the spine, osteoarthritis (arthrosis);
- Post-traumatic period with joint injuries;
- Prevention of traumatic and age-related degenerative-dystrophic diseases of the joints.
Arthro-Active in the form of a warming balm is used:
- Arthritis (psoriatic, rheumatoid, juvenile);
- Osteoarthritis (osteoarthritis) and osteochondrosis of the spine and joint injuries (acute period);
- Pain syndromes in the back and spine;
- Synovitis.
Arthro-Active tablets are used for the following diseases / conditions:
- Osteoarthritis, osteochondrosis;
- Joint injuries and post-traumatic rehabilitation;
- Deformation of the joints (ankylosis, subluxation);
- Increased functional load on the joints (physical activity, overweight);
- Prevention of traumatic degenerative-dystrophic and age-related pathologies of the joints.
Contraindications
Arthro-Active in any dosage form is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the drug.
Tablets and capsules are not recommended to be taken during pregnancy or lactation.
Method of administration and dosage
The tablets are taken for 5 weeks. During the first week - 2 tablets twice a day, then - 1 tablet.
The capsules are taken from 2 to 4 weeks. The recommended dose is 2-3 capsules three times a day with meals. An interval of 2 weeks should be observed between treatment courses.
The nourishing ointment is applied twice a day, evenly applying the agent to the joint area. The duration of treatment is up to two months, it is recommended to repeat the course in 3-6 months.
The warming balm is applied to the articular area for 2-3 weeks twice a day. The drug can be used until the symptoms of inflammation are relieved, and if necessary, after a break, the course of treatment can be repeated.
Side effects
All dosage forms of Arthro-Active are well tolerated. When applied externally, balm and ointment, in case of individual hypersensitivity, can cause a burning effect and local redness of the skin.
