AnviMax is an antihistamine, antiviral, analgesic, antipyretic and angioprotective drug.
Release form and composition
AnviMax is available in the following forms:
- hard gelatin capsules, size No. 0 (two types): P capsules - blue, contents - a mixture of granules and powder, white or white with a pinkish or creamy shade, sometimes with lumps; capsules P - red, contents - a mixture of granules and powder of white and yellow or yellow with a greenish tinge, sometimes with lumps (10 pieces of P capsules in a blister strip and 10 pieces of P capsules in a blister, in a cardboard box by one blister strip packaging of capsules of different colors);
- powder for preparation of solution for oral administration (raspberry, lemon, cranberry, blackcurrant, lemon with honey): a mixture of granules and powder from almost white to yellow with a greenish tinge, having a characteristic odor (depending on the type of powder - raspberries, lemon, cranberries, black currant or lemon with honey), sometimes single pink granules come across; the prepared solution is slightly cloudy, colorless or with a yellowish tinge, has a characteristic odor (depending on the type of powder), undissolved yellow particles may be present (5 g each in heat-sealable sachets, in a cardboard box 3, 6, 12 or 24 sachets).
Composition of 1 capsule P:
- active substance: paracetamol - 360 mg;
- auxiliary components: colloidal silicon dioxide, polysorbate 80, lactose monohydrate, pregelatinized starch, magnesium stearate;
- composition of the capsule shell: gelatin, titanium dioxide, brilliant blue dye or patented blue dye.
Composition of 1 capsule R:
- active ingredients: ascorbic acid - 300 mg, rimantadine hydrochloride - 50 mg, calcium gluconate monohydrate - 100 mg, loratadine - 3 mg, rutoside - 20 mg;
- auxiliary components: magnesium stearate, potato starch;
- composition of the capsule shell: gelatin, titanium dioxide, crimson dye, iron dye yellow oxide, iron dye red oxide.
Composition of 1 sachet of powder:
- active ingredients: ascorbic acid - 300 mg, paracetamol - 360 mg, rimantadine hydrochloride - 50 mg, calcium gluconate monohydrate - 100 mg, loratadine - 3 mg, rutoside - 20 mg;
- auxiliary components: colloidal silicon dioxide, aspartame, lactose monohydrate, hypromellose, flavoring (depending on the type of powder - raspberry, lemon, cranberry, blackcurrant or lemon with honey).
Indications for use
- symptomatic therapy of ARVI, influenza and other colds, which are accompanied by headache, fever, chills and muscle pain (in adult patients);
- etiotropic therapy for influenza type A.
Contraindications
Absolute:
- hemorrhagic diathesis;
- renal failure;
- nephrourolithiasis;
- acute liver and / or kidney disease (acute hepatitis, acute pyelonephritis, acute glomerulonephritis);
- exacerbation of chronic liver and / or kidney disease;
- gastrointestinal bleeding;
- portal hypertension;
- hemophilia;
- sarcoidosis;
- exacerbation of erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract;
- avitaminosis K;
- severe hypercalciuria, hypercalcemia;
- hypoprothrombinemia;
- chronic alcoholism;
- phenylketonuria (for AnviMax in powder form);
- diseases of the thyroid gland;
- lactase deficiency, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome;
- simultaneous use of cardiac glycosides;
- children and adolescents under 18 years of age;
- period of pregnancy and lactation;
- hypersensitivity to the components of the drug (one or more).
Relative (AnviMax is used with caution):
- diabetes;
- urolithiasis disease;
- electrolyte disturbances;
- calcium nephrourolithiasis (in history);
- diarrhea;
- hypercalciuria;
- hyperoxaluria;
- dehydration;
- sideroblastic anemia;
- hemochromatosis;
- thalassemia;
- deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase;
- cerebral atherosclerosis;
- epilepsy.
Elderly patients with arterial hypertension should use AnviMax with caution.
Method of administration and dosage
Capsules
AnviMaks in capsule form is taken orally after meal with water. A single dose for adult patients is 1 capsule P and 1 capsule R. The frequency of application is 2-3 times a day.
Powder for the preparation of
AnviMax solution in the form of a powder is taken orally, after dissolving the contents of one sachet in ½ cup of warm boiled water. The drug should be used immediately after preparation of the solution. Single dose - 1 sachet, frequency of application - 2-3 times a day.
The duration of treatment is 3-5 days. If the condition does not improve, you must stop taking the drug and see a doctor. Do not use AnviMax for more than 5 days.
Side effects
- digestive system: dyspepsia, lack of appetite, damage to the mucous membrane of the duodenum and stomach, dryness of the oral mucosa, diarrhea, flatulence;
- central nervous system: tremor, headache, hyperexcitability, flushing, dizziness, drowsiness, hyperkinesia;
- endocrine system: glucosuria, hyperglycemia;
- hematopoietic system: changes in blood counts;
- urinary system: moderate pollakiuria;
- allergic reactions: itching, skin rash, urticaria.
In case of aggravation of these side effects or the appearance of any other adverse reactions, you should inform your doctor about it.
special instructions
AnviMax is not recommended for use in the presence of metastatic tumors.
Patients with alcohol dependence should consult a specialist before treatment, as paracetamol can have a damaging effect on the liver.
During therapy with AnviMax, it is necessary to drive a car especially carefully and do other work that requires high concentration and a quick reaction.
Drug interactions
With the simultaneous use of paracetamol with uricosuric drugs, their effectiveness decreases. High doses of paracetamol increase the effect of anticoagulants. Metoclopramide may increase the rate of absorption of paracetamol. Barbiturates (with long-term use) reduce the effectiveness of paracetamol. Ethanol, hepatotoxic drugs, rifampicin, tricyclic antidepressants, phenytoin, phenylbutazone and barbiturates increase the risk of severe intoxication, even with a minor paracetamol overdose. Inhibitors of microsomal oxidation reduce the likelihood of hepatotoxic effects.
Ascorbic acid improves the absorption of iron preparations in the intestine, increases the concentration of benzylpenicillin in the blood, when used simultaneously with short-acting sulfonamides and salicylates, increases the likelihood of crystalluria, increases the excretion of drugs with an alkaline reaction, and slows down the excretion of acids, when taken simultaneously with deferoxamine it can increase excretion iron, reduces the chronotropic effect of isoprenaline, reduces the concentration of oral contraceptives in the blood, increases the clearance of ethanol (it, in turn, reduces the concentration of ascorbic acid in the body), reduces the tubular reabsorption of tricyclic antidepressants and amphetamine, reduces the therapeutic effect of neuroleptics, which are derivatives of phenothiazine. With simultaneous use with primidone and barbiturates, its excretion in the urine increases.
Rimantadine, when taken together with caffeine, enhances its aphrodisiac effect.
The concentration of loratadine in the blood increases with simultaneous use with inhibitors of CYP3A4 and CYP2D6.
