Analgos is a topical vasodilating agent with an analgesic effect.

Release form and composition

Dosage form - cream for external use: almost white, with a soft homogeneous structure and a characteristic odor (50 g each in aluminum tubes, in a cardboard box 1 tube).

The active ingredient of Analgos is propylnicotinate, in 50 g of cream - 1 g.

Auxiliary components: glycerol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, emulsifier, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, isopropyl myristate, lanolin, liquid paraffin, purified water.

Indications for use

The use of Analgos is indicated for neuralgia, myalgia and arthralgia of non-inflammatory genesis for anesthesia and improvement of local microcirculation in the absence of the need for urgent surgical treatment.

Contraindications

  • Age under 12;
  • Inflammatory skin diseases;
  • Violation at the site of application of the integrity of the skin;
  • The period of pregnancy and breastfeeding;
  • Hypersensitivity to parabens and drug components.

Method of administration and dosage

The cream is applied externally, applying a thin layer to the skin of the affected area of the body and rubbing gently.

Recommended dosage: at the rate of 0.5-1 cm of an extruded column of cream on the skin surface with a diameter of 5-10 cm, the procedure is carried out 2-4 times a day. The duration of treatment is 10 days. Simultaneous application of the cream to several painful areas is allowed.

Side effects

  • Allergic reactions: possibly - itchy skin, intense hyperemia; rarely - pustular rash, skin edema;
  • Others: possible (against the background of applying a large amount of cream) - a decrease in blood pressure (BP) and heart rate.

Local hyperthermia in the form of skin redness at the site of application of the cream is due to the pharmacological action of the drug and is not an undesirable effect.

Analgos should not be applied to areas of inflamed joints.

Hands should be thoroughly washed with soap and water after each application of the cream.

Do not allow the cream to come into contact with the mucous membranes of the body (including the eyes), areas with compromised skin integrity. In case of accidental contact of the cream in the eyes, mucous membranes and damaged skin, rinse thoroughly with warm water.

It is not recommended to take a bath or hot shower before applying the cream or after the procedure for patients with sensitive skin.

Drug interactions

The simultaneous use of warming physiotherapeutic procedures or other drugs with a local irritant effect has an additional vasodilator effect and can cause severe skin irritation, a significant decrease in blood pressure and even fainting, especially with a large area of application of the drug.

Analogos analogs are: Kapsin, Kapsitrin, Nikoflex, Pepper capsicum tincture.
