Amizonchik is a drug with analgesic, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, antiviral effects, used in the treatment of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections in children.
Release form and composition
Amizon is produced in the form of a syrup: orange, transparent, with a specific odor (in 100 ml vials, in a cardboard box 1 vial complete with a dosing spoon).
Composition of 1 ml of syrup:
- Active ingredient: amizon (enisamium iodide) - 10 mg;
- Auxiliary components: sodium phosphate dodecahydrate - 22.6 mg, non-crystallizing sorbitol solution - 1010.98 mg, citric acid monohydrate - 3.5 mg, Peach flavor - 1 mg, Tutti-Frutti flavor - 1 mg, purified water - 200 mg.
Indications for use
Amizonchik is prescribed for the treatment of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI).
Contraindications
- History of allergic reactions (regardless of the nature of the allergen);
- Severe organic kidney / liver damage;
- Fructose intolerance (sorbitol is a part of Amizonchik);
- Age up to 3 years;
- Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, as well as to iodine preparations.
Caution is required by the appointment of Amizonchik in diseases of the thyroid gland, especially in hyperthyroidism.
The drug is not intended for use by lactating and pregnant women.
It should be borne in mind that sorbitol can have a mild laxative effect.
Method of administration and dosage
Amizonchik should be taken orally with a small amount of water, preferably after a meal.
Recommended dosing regimen (single dose / frequency of administration; 1 ml = 10 mg):
- 3-4 years: 5 ml / 3 times a day;
- 4-5 years: 6 ml / 3 times a day;
- 5-6 years: 7 ml / 3 times a day;
- 6-12 years: 12 ml / 2-3 times a day (for this age group of patients, Amizonchik syrup should be taken if it is impossible to swallow tablets).
The duration of the treatment course is 5-7 days (determined by the severity of the disease and the therapeutic effect).
Side effects
- Digestive system: heartburn, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, bitterness / dry mouth, hypersalivation, swelling of the oral mucosa, yellow staining of the tongue, heaviness in the right hypochondrium, abdominal pain, bloating;
- Respiratory system: burning sensation in the throat, shortness of breath;
- Allergic reactions: hypersensitivity reactions, including angioedema, skin rashes, urticaria, itching;
- Others: fluctuations in blood pressure, headache, weakness, dizziness.

Drug interactions
When combined with antibacterial and immunomodulatory agents, an increase in their action is observed.
The simultaneous use of Amizonchik with ascorbic acid and other vitamins is advisable. Combined use with recombinant interferon preparations is also possible.

Terms and conditions of storage
Store in a dark place, out of reach of children, at temperatures up to 25 ° C.
Shelf life is 2 years.
After opening the package, Amizonchik can be used for 90 days.
