Actinolysate is a drug with a strong immunomodulatory effect; stimulates the process of phagocytosis and the production of antibodies to various kinds of infectious agents, increasing the overall resistance of the organism; inhibits the overproduction of cytokines and blocks the action of inflammatory mediators, reducing the intensity of inflammatory processes.
Release form and composition
Dosage form - solution for intramuscular administration: clear liquid from yellowish-brown to brown color (in ampoules of 2 and 3 ml, in a package of 5 or 10 ampoules, complete with an ampoule knife; 5 or 10 ampoules in a blister strip, in a pack carton 1 package and ampoule knife).
Active substance: a mixture of lysates of spontaneously lysed actinomycetes of the genera Actinomyces and Micromonospora - 0.5 ml in 1 ml of solution.
Indications for use
- Bacterial purulent and inflammatory diseases of the mucous membranes, bones, subcutaneous tissue and skin;
- Actinomycosis of various localizations;
- Odontogenic inflammatory process;
- Long-term non-healing wounds, trophic ulcers, furunculosis, acne;
- Urethritis, prostatitis, cystitis, vulvovaginitis;
- Paraproctitis, enterocolitis, gastritis, esophagitis;
- Pyelonephritis;
- Hepatitis;
- Diabetic foot syndrome;
- Bronchitis, pneumonia, lung abscess;
- Angina, sinusitis, otitis media;
- Mastitis;
- Other inflammatory diseases.
Contraindications
- Acute infectious diseases (viral respiratory infections, influenza, intestinal infections);
- Malignant neoplasms;
- Lactation period;
- Individual intolerance.
When studying reproduction in animals, the risks of adverse effects of the drug on the fetus were not identified, however, adequate and strictly controlled studies in humans have not been conducted, therefore, during pregnancy, Actinolysate can be prescribed only after a thorough assessment of the expected benefits and potential risks.
Method of administration and dosage
Actinolysate is administered intramuscularly 2 times a week.
Recommended single doses:
- Children under 3 years old - 0.1 mg / kg body weight;
- Children 3-14 years old - 2 ml;
- Teenagers over 14 years old and adults - 3 ml.
Depending on the indications, the course of treatment can consist of 5-25 injections.
For actinomycosis, 20-25 injections are usually prescribed, for diseases of internal organs - 10-15 injections, for dermatological diseases - 5-15 injections.
Between courses of treatment, 1-month intervals are observed.
The number of courses is determined individually, depending on the type and severity of the disease.
1 month after recovery, a prophylactic course (5-15 injections) is prescribed to avoid relapse.
Side effects
After the first injections, there is a natural slight increase in the inflammatory process in the pathological focus, the withdrawal of the drug in this case is not required.
Allergic reactions are also possible in the form of short-term subfebrile condition, hyperemia at the injection site and skin rash. They, as a rule, are quickly stopped by taking an antihistamine, otherwise Actinolysate should be canceled.

The effect of the drug on the speed of reactions and the ability to concentrate has not been studied.
Drug interactions
Actinolysate enhances the effect of antibacterial drugs used simultaneously.
The immunomodulator should not be used in combination with immunosuppressive agents.
Analogs
There is no information on analogues of Actinolysate.
Terms and conditions of storage
Keep out of the reach of children, protected from light at a temperature of 4-8 ºС.
Shelf life is 2 years.
It is allowed to transport the drug at temperatures up to 25 ºС, but not more than 1 day.
