Hepatitis B can also provoke pain, but it is mainly drug addicts and homosexuals who suffer from it.

In addition to hepatitis, medication or excessive alcohol consumption can lead to disruption of the liver, and therefore to the appearance of pain in the right side.

Gallbladder diseases can also cause pain on the right side. Usually, the pain appears after eating fatty or spicy foods, accompanied by bloating and gas, and after a few hours, it becomes acute. At the peak of the attack, the patient develops nausea and vomiting, cold sweat covers the body, but the temperature remains normal. But there may be such manifestations when, in addition to pain in the right upper abdomen, given under the scapula, a high temperature also appears sharply, accompanied by severe chills. In such cases, doctors usually find stones in the gallbladder, which, in order to stop the aching pain in the right side, must be removed. Kidney stones can cause specific and undulating pain in the right side of the abdomen that spreads to the back and groin. Inflammation of the appendix results in localized pain in the lower right abdomen, under the ribs, or in the navel. If you suspect appendicitis, you should urgently seek medical help.

Pain in the right side under the ribs

Diseases of the liver, duodenum and the right corner of the large intestine are often the causes of pain in the right side under the ribs. Dyskinesia of the biliary tract and acute calculous cholecystitis are manifested by hepatic colic, radiating pain to the scapula and clavicle.

Sometimes the overstretching of the bile ducts with bile accumulated as a result of a violation of its outflow into the intestine, causes sudden pain under the ribs on the right side of the body. Painful sensations are given to the right shoulder blade, shoulder, neck and upper abdomen, accompanied by vomiting and anxiety of the patient. As soon as the outflow of bile normalizes, the symptoms disappear, leaving behind only heaviness in the hypochondrium.

Symptoms such as fever, weakness, chills and general intoxication of the body, combined with painful sensations under the right rib, indicate acute cholecystitis. The appearance of a dull, constant pain in the right side under the ribs, accompanied by jaundice, is evidence of a stretching of the hepatic capsule due to hepatitis. Shingles also manifests itself as unpleasant sensations under the ribs, combined with characteristic rashes on the skin in the form of blisters, general malaise and a slight increase in body temperature.

Pain in the right side of the back

The appearance of painful sensations in the right side of the back and abdomen at the same time is often associated with such urological diseases as:

• Pyelonephritis;
• Urolithiasis disease;
• Tumors and tuberculosis of the kidney;
• Glomerulonephritis;
• Renal vascular thrombosis;
• Nephroptosis;
• Hydronephrosis.

Cramping pain in the right side of the back can be a consequence of renal colic, which develops due to blockage of the ureter with stones or inflammatory masses, products of tuberculous tissue breakdown or blood clots. In some cases, the cause of painful sensations is a violation of the outflow of urine, which causes an increase in fluid pressure on the inside of the urinary tract, edema of the kidney and hyperextension of its capsule.

Kidney damage is also accompanied by sharp and intolerable pain in the right side of the back, which often spreads to the upper abdomen. If the patient is not treated in a timely manner, pain attacks will spread to the lower abdomen and back, to the genital area and bladder.

The acute course of pyelonephritis and glomerulonephritis of the right kidney is accompanied by sudden acute and growing pain in the upper back. In the chronic course of the disease, dull, constantly pulling painful sensations appear. Both conditions are accompanied by the development of edema, an increase in body temperature, impaired urination and changes in the composition and color of urine.

Whatever the cause of pain in the right side, one cannot self-medicate, both with traditional and alternative medicine, even if the patient is 100% sure that he has made the correct diagnosis on his own. In many cases, patients harm themselves further and complicate subsequent adequate hospital care.
