Release form and composition
The product is produced in the form of a cream: white, medium consistency, practically odorless (30 g each in an aluminum tube, 1 tube in a cardboard box and instructions for use of Foretal).
The cream contains: urea (carbamide), liquid paraffin, propylene glycol, cetostearyl alcohol (Lanette O), imidourea, water, macrogol cetostearate (Eumulgin B2).
Pharmacological properties
Foretal promotes long-term hydration of the skin and accelerates the exfoliation of dry upper layers of the epidermis. These effects of the drug are due to the urea included in its composition, which is a component of the natural moisturizing factor of the skin.
Urea saturates skin cells with the necessary amount of moisture, easily penetrating into the deep layers of the epidermis, has moisture-retaining properties, maintains water balance and prevents dehydration.
