Estrogen drug Estrofem
Estrogen drug Estrofem

Estrofem is a drug belonging to the estrogen group.

Pharmacological action Estrofem

The therapeutic effect of Estrofem is to replenish the deficiency of endogenous estrogen in the body. It contains 17-beta-estradiol, which is identical to the estrogen produced in the female body and produced by the ovaries. Together with specific receptors in the vagina, uterus, mammary glands, pituitary gland and other organs, which are targeted by the action of estrogen, the hormone forms a receptor-liganide complex. This complex, when interacting with specific elements of the genome and some intracellular proteins, promotes the synthesis of proteins, i-RNA, and determines the growth factor.

Estrofem has a stimulating effect on the development of the fallopian tubes, uterus, vagina, ducts of the mammary glands, stroma, and also causes pigmentation in the areola and genital area. Also, the drug promotes the formation of female secondary sexual characteristics, regulates monthly bleeding, suppresses lactation, stimulates the synthesis of certain transport proteins, etc.

In addition, the drug Estrofem is able to regulate the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats and proteins, reduce blood cholesterol levels, increase libido and improve the emotional background.

Release form

Estrofem comes in the form of film-coated tablets. The color of the tablets is blue. The estradiol content reaches 2 mg. The tablets are packed in a plastic calendar disk in the amount of 28 pieces. One box contains one disc.
