Elakosept is a combined herbal medicine with antimicrobial properties.

Release form and composition

  • collection-powder: a mixture of crushed particles of plant materials of gray-green color interspersed with brown, orange, yellow-orange, yellow and white, with a fragrant odor; the taste of water extract is sweetish (2 g each in a filter bag, in a cardboard box with instructions for the use of Elakosept 10 or 20 filter bags printed on it);
  • chopped collection: a mixture of plant materials of gray-green color with brown, white and orange-yellow blotches, with a fragrant odor and sweetish taste of water extraction (35 or 50 g each in cardboard boxes with an inner bag).

Elakosept composition:

Pharmacodynamics

The infusion and decoction prepared on the basis of Elakosept exhibit antimicrobial activity against Proteus, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and some other pathogenic microorganisms. They have an anti-inflammatory effect and accelerate the course of reparative processes.

Indications for use

Elakosept is recommended for use in combination therapy for the following diseases:

  • periodontitis, acute and recurrent aphthous stomatitis, lichen planus of the oral mucosa (dentistry);
  • colitis, enteritis, enterocolitis, chronic gastroduodenitis (gastroenterology);
  • acute and chronic pharyngitis, chronic tonsillitis, acute laryngopharyngitis, tracheitis, bronchitis (pulmonology and otolaryngology);
  • acne vulgaris, rosacea, microbial eczema, neurodermatitis (dermatology);
  • urethritis, chronic cystitis, chronic pyelonephritis, chronic prostatitis (urology);
  • nonspecific inflammatory diseases of the vagina and cervix, including cervicitis and colpitis (gynecology).

Contraindications

The use of a herbal remedy is contraindicated in the presence of increased individual sensitivity to any component in the composition of Elakosept.

Elakosept, instructions for use: method and dosage

Collecting Elakosept is used in the form of a freshly prepared decoction or water infusion orally, locally (including inhalation) and externally.

A method of preparing a decoction and infusion based on the collection of chopped:

  • broth: about 10 g (3 tablespoons) of vegetable raw materials, pour 200 ml (1 glass) of boiling water, leave for 60 minutes, and then boil for 15 minutes over low heat; leave the resulting product to re-infuse for 45 minutes at room temperature and then strain; do not add water to obtain the initial volume;
  • infusion: pour about 10 g (3 tablespoons) of plant materials into a thermos and pour boiling water in an amount of 0.5 liters, cover and leave for 2 hours, then use undiluted.

To prepare the infusion from the collection powder, place 2 filter bags (4 g) in a glass / enamel dish, pour 200 ml (1 glass) of boiling water, cover and infuse for 15 minutes, pressing periodically with a spoon on the filter bags. Then the latter should be removed from the glass and squeezed out, the volume of the resulting infusion should be brought to 200 ml by adding boiled water.

Recommended schemes for the use of a decoction and infusion of a phytopreparation:

  • oral administration: 30 minutes before meals 3 times / day, approximately 70 ml (⅓ glass) undiluted, or the broth can be diluted 2–4 times;
  • external and local use: lotions - cold undiluted infusion / decoction 1-2 times / day; irrigation, rinsing, douching - an infusion diluted 2 times, or a decoction diluted 2-4 times;
  • inhalation use: decoction / infusion in undiluted form, hot or warm, including when performing procedures on an ultrasonic inhaler;
  • introduction in the form of microclysters: decoction / infusion warm undiluted 50 ml.

Method of using the collection Elakosept and the duration of treatment, depending on the indications:

  • diseases of the respiratory tract and ENT organs: simultaneously used orally and locally in the form of inhalations and rinses 2-5 times / day, the course is 14-21 days;
  • dentistry: simultaneously prescribed orally and topically in the form of irrigations, rinses, soaked turunda and lotions with a decoction / infusion of warm, diluted 2–4 times, 2–5 times / day, the course is 5–7 days;
  • gastroenterology: taken orally, course - 14–21 days;
  • urology: taken orally for 14–21 days and administered as microclysters;
  • dermatology: combined orally and externally used in the form of lotions, course - 14-21 days;
  • gynecology: taken orally at the same time and used in the form of irrigation, lotions, douching with diluted warm broth / infusion 1-2 times / day, course - 14-28 days.
