Tetralgin is a combined drug that has anesthetic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, antispasmodic and sedative effect.
Release form and composition
Dosage form - tablets: from white with a yellow or cream shade to white, round, with a flat surface, with a dividing line and a chamfer (10 pcs. In a blister strip packaging, in a cardboard box 1 or 2 packs; 20 pcs. In polymer bottle, in a cardboard box 1 bottle).
1 tablet contains:
- active ingredients: analgin (metamizole sodium) - 300 mg, anhydrous caffeine - 50 mg, phenobarbital - 10 mg, codeine (codeine monohydrate) - 8 mg;
- auxiliary components: magnesium stearate, potato starch.
Indications for use
The use of Tetralgin is indicated for the relief of pain syndrome of various etiologies:

Method of administration and dosage

Drug interactions
With the simultaneous use of Tetralgin:
- non-narcotic analgesics can enhance the toxic effect;
- tranquilizers, sedatives enhance the analgesic effect of the drug;
- oral contraceptives, tricyclic antidepressants, allopurinol increase the toxicity of analgin;
- inducers of microsomal liver enzymes (including barbiturates, phenylbutazone) weaken the effect of analgin;
- adsorbents, coating and astringent agents can affect the pharmacokinetics of the drug in the gastrointestinal tract, namely, reduce the absorption of codeine;
- ergotamine accelerates its absorption;
- cyclosporine decreases its plasma concentration level.
