Release form and composition
Olifrin is a remedy for the nasal mucosa: an opaque, slightly oily liquid of white-yellow color, with a citrus aroma (15 ml each in plastic bottles with a nozzle, in a cardboard box, 1 bottle and instructions for the use of Olifrin).
Composition for 1 ml of the product:
- active ingredients: anhydrous glycerol - 62.5 mg, sodium hyaluronate - 1.9 mg, essential lemon oil - 0.6 mg, racemic α-tocopherol acetate (vitamin E) - 0.1 mg;
- excipients: macrogol glyceryl hydroxystearate 40, polysorbate 80 (tween 80), sodium benzoate, water for injection.

Pharmacodynamics
Olyphrin has a moisturizing and anti-inflammatory effect, eliminates the symptoms of dryness of the nasal mucosa (itching, irritation, burning), promotes its regeneration, and creates a barrier that protects against adverse factors.
Action of active ingredients:
- hyaluronic acid: a natural polymer present in the human body has lubricating and moisturizing properties and the necessary viscosity to create a protective film in the nasal cavity with a high ability to retain moisture, which provides long-term uniform hydration and protects the nasal mucosa from adverse environmental influences;
- glycerol: is a natural hydratant with high hygroscopic (intensely moisturizes, protects against dehydration) and lubricating properties; has a softening effect; activates metabolism, improving regeneration; has an antipruritic effect;
- essential lemon oil: helps to strengthen the walls of blood vessels, has antiseptic efficacy; thanks to the refreshing lemon scent, tones up and noticeably improves mood;
- Vitamin E (racemic α-tocopherol acetate): anti-inflammatory due to its high antioxidant activity.
Indications for use
- creating a protective barrier in the nasal cavity and moisturizing the nasal mucosa;
- removal of excess secretions, softening and removal of crusts formed in the nasal cavity;
- elimination of dryness symptoms (itching, irritation, burning) of the nasal mucosa caused by negative environmental influences, exposure to dry air (heating, air conditioning) or postoperative healing;
- relief of increased bleeding resulting from thinning and dryness of the mucous membrane;
- acceleration of the regeneration of the nasal mucosa after surgery;
- long-term use of local vasoconstrictor drugs, which caused pathological changes in the nasal mucosa.
Contraindications
- absolute obstruction of the nasal passages;
- children under 3 years old;
- individual hypersensitivity to the components of Olifrin.

Spray Olifrin is used intranasally.
It is recommended to make 1-2 injections into each nostril from 1 to 3 times a day as needed.
