Of course, it is difficult for a modern city dweller to get ecologically clean leaves of young nettle, dandelion, dream, woodlice, burdock, plantain and hazelnut, fern shoots and other gifts of nature for a spring salad. But this does not mean that in order to combat vitamin deficiency, it remains to use exclusively greens, which are offered by retail chains. Store-bought herbs and leafy vegetables are not always safe: a beautiful salad or scented dill grown in a greenhouse can contain substantial doses of harmful chemicals.

In fact, with a little effort, you can get young greenery even in a city apartment. In boxes with soil, placed on the windowsill, green onions and garlic feathers, arugula, and some types of lettuce will grow beautifully. Young leaves of carrots, beets and radishes are very useful and pleasant to the taste, which are easy to "drive out" from root crops planted in such soil. The benefits of sprouted seeds

Biologically active substances concentrated in plant seeds are an excellent help for a weakened organism. In the spring, it is optimal to eat them in the form of young sprouts, from which salads, smoothies or juices are prepared.

You can germinate green buckwheat, oats, wheat, legume seeds (except for red beans), flax, mustard, barley. The sprouts of pumpkin and sunflower seeds are very useful. This vitamin-packed product is easy to get. To germinate seeds you need:

  • rinse them with running water, disinfect them for 5–7 minutes with a slightly pink solution of potassium permanganate and rinse again;
  • put the seeds in a shallow dish, add a little water at room temperature and leave to swell for 1-3 days, depending on the type of plant;
  • rinse swollen seeds and leave on a plate, covered with a wet cotton cloth. Tiny seedlings will appear the next day;
  • place the container with seeds in the refrigerator. If the sprouts are kept moist, they will grow. The optimal accumulation of nutrients will occur on the 4th or 5th day, then the seedlings can be eaten.

It is important to make sure that the seeds selected for germination are not intended for sowing and have not been treated with the appropriate chemicals. Therefore, the source material should only be purchased from specialized stores.

Drink freshly squeezed juices

Freshly squeezed juices are very useful, but they must be consumed wisely. Do not think that the more you drink them daily, the faster your health will improve. Many juices contain substances that can harm the body at high concentrations. Remember the following rules:

  • freshly squeezed juice cannot be stored. In 10-15 minutes after cooking, it loses a significant part of its beneficial properties. The exception is beet juice, which must be allowed to stand for about 2 hours before use;
  • it is recommended to dilute the juice with boiled or mineral water;
  • no need to drink juice while eating. It is better to do this half an hour before or half an hour after the meal;
  • the most useful are mixtures of juices (especially fruit and vegetable). Juices with pulp are preferable;
  • after drinking juices containing a large amount of organic acids (apple, pomegranate, orange, etc.), you must rinse your mouth with clean water to avoid the destruction of tooth enamel;
  • you cannot drink more than 300 ml of freshly squeezed juice per day;
  • when drinking juices, it is important to take into account the presence of chronic diseases, as well as the likelihood of allergic reactions.

Get enough sleep

During sleep, the body produces the hormone melatonin, which improves health, activates protective processes, and is a strong antioxidant.

With a breakdown, a good night's rest is especially important. In spring, dawn comes early, so it is advisable to go to bed no later than 22:00 in order to make the most productive use of the morning sunshine.
