The beneficial properties of aloe

Aloe is a herbaceous perennial evergreen plant. Common plant names: agave, scarlet, thorny flower, sabur, doctor, alliance, century-old tree.

There are about three hundred varieties of this plant; in cosmetology and medicine, aloe vera, a tree-like aloe, is most often used.

The leaves of the plant are dark green, fleshy, contain amino acids, vitamins, essential oils, fiber, carotene, enzymes.

Aloe juice has a strong analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial effect. It is noticed that it cleanses the pores, increases the elasticity of the skin, moisturizes it, relieves irritation, so the juice is often used in cosmetology in the form of additives for various cosmetic products and in its pure form.

Aloe recipes and uses

The anti-inflammatory and regenerating properties of aloe are widely used in medicine: in dermatology, dentistry, gynecology, surgery, and general practice.

The pharmaceutical industry produces such preparations: aloe juice, liniment and tablets, as well as plant syrup with iron.

Aloe juice is prescribed for gastroenteritis, constipation, periodontal disease, colitis, arthrosis, enterocolitis, gastritis, polyarthritis. Mixing with honey, aloe juice is taken as a general tonic.

The juice of the plant mixed with iron is used to treat anemia, stimulate impaired blood circulation, metabolism and immunity. The drug is effective for poisoning, infections, radiation sickness, internal bleeding.

Aloe liniment is a preparation containing an extract of a tree plant. It is prescribed for burns, arthrosis, periarthritis, periodontitis, polyarthritis, conjunctivitis, amphodontosis.

The tablets contain crushed canned leaves of the plant. The drug is used in ophthalmology: it is prescribed for worsening myopia, myopic chorioretinitis.

For such eye diseases as keratitis, iritis, conjunctivitis, opacity of the vitreous body of the eye, as well as for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, liquid aqueous extracts of the plant are prescribed for internal use and injections. Extracts are made from dry and fresh leaves. Inside, the extract is taken 1 teaspoon three times a day, and aloe injections are given subcutaneously - 1 ml per day.

The plant is successfully grown at home, therefore, the healing properties of aloe have long been used in folk medicine.

Common homemade aloe recipes include:

• for the treatment of exhaustion, aloe is mixed with honey, walnuts, lemon juice. All components are taken at 100g. Take the remedy one spoonful of dessert 30 minutes before meals. If the patient has an increased acidity of gastric secretions, it is better not to use lemon juice in this recipe with aloe.
• For colds, acute respiratory or ENT diseases, they also mix aloe juice with honey, add medical alcohol. 300gr of aloe vera stems are turned through a meat grinder, ground with three tablespoons of honey and alcohol, and one teaspoonful three r / day is taken before meals.
• With a runny nose, tonsillitis, other diseases of the nasopharynx, aloe juice for adults is instilled in 5-8 drops every 3-5 hours; children 3-16 years old - 4-5 drops; children under 3 years old - 2-3 drops.
• For stomach ulcers, eating fresh aloe vera leaves (or parts of them no more than five cm long) twice a day helps. Aloe vera leaves should be eaten on an empty stomach, chewing thoroughly. To eliminate bitterness, you can seize aloe with honey. Such treatment is desirable for three months and, if necessary, it can be repeated again after 30 days. This recipe with aloe also helps with severe nosebleeds.
• With pulmonary tuberculosis, the fortifying properties of aloe help. For treatment, a mixture is prepared from a tablespoon of aloe extract, May honey, butter, goose fat and cocoa. All components except juice are taken in 100 g each, mixed, heated, avoiding boiling. The resulting product should be taken twice a day before meals, a tablespoon. A fortifying mixture with aloe according to the recipe is diluted in a glass of warmed milk before taking.
• In case of burns, treating wounds with fresh plant juice helps. After applying aloe juice, it is left on the affected skin surface for 20-30 minutes, you cannot cover the wound with a bandage, you can only blot the remnants of the juice that has not been absorbed.
• To heal festering wounds and cuts, gauze compresses with plant juice and its crushed leaves help. To draw out pus on the wound, you can apply the transparent pulp of a tree-like aloe, which also heals and disinfects well.

Masks with aloe help to take care of the skin. Inflammation on the skin is well removed by masks of egg white and plant sap (two tablespoons of table juice and one protein). The mixture is applied to the face for 15 minutes daily.

To improve skin color, mix aloe juice and cream and apply the mixture with gauze pads on the skin in the morning and evening.

Contraindications

It is undesirable to use aloe too actively during pregnancy, with vascular diseases, heart. It is used with caution for hemorrhoids, oncological pathologies, uterine bleeding, cystitis.
