The truffle is attached to the roots of trees, which protects them from various diseases and helps them get water.

The mushroom reproduces by spores, and the life cycle of a truffle looks quite interesting. Animals, in particular wild pigs, eat mushrooms (they find them by smell and are even used as bloodhounds in the truffle hunting season), and their spores go out with excrement, and thus get into the ground, where they continue their development.

Truffles are yellowish, dark gray in color. If you cut open the flesh of the mushroom, you can see fine light streaks.

Truffles are different in weight - from a few grams to a kilogram.

The benefits of truffles for humans

Vitamins B1, B2, B3, C were found in truffles. It is believed that they tend to have an antioxidant and strengthening effect. Pheromones have also been found in mushrooms, which is why they are considered powerful aphrodisiacs.

Mushrooms are advised to eat for women who are expecting a baby or breastfeeding, for children and adolescents - their chemical composition allows you to feel a surge of strength, get the micronutrients necessary for growth and performance.

There was a place for an unusual mushroom in cosmetology and medicine. It turns out that eye diseases can be treated with truffle juice.

In the cosmetic industry, white truffle is most often used. Due to the increased content of proteins and antioxidants, the mushroom is used to produce strengthening hair products, whitening and smoothing face creams. The most famous concern that uses these mushrooms for the production of cosmetics is located in Italy.

The calorie content of a truffle is comparable only to the calorie content of vegetables and is 24 calories.

How a truffle is prepared

Mushrooms are combined with various foods: meat, vegetables, seafood and even fruits. Most often, mushrooms are used as an addition to the main dish. For those who monitor their nutrition and their weight, this method of serving the mushroom is ideal: given the calorie content of the truffle, it cannot be burdensome for the waist.

Experts recommend, for greater safety, the mushroom, peeled from the ground, to be stored in rice, which will not allow the truffle to dry out or, conversely, become excessively moist.
