Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
The active substance of Fluditek is carbocisteine, the mucolytic and expectorant effect of which is due to its ability to activate sial transferase - an enzyme of the goblet cells of the bronchial mucosa.
Carbocisteine normalizes the quantitative ratio of neutral and acidic sialomucins of bronchial secretions. Restores the elasticity and viscosity of mucus, facilitates its discharge. Normalizes the mucous membrane, promotes its regeneration. Improves mucociliary clearance, activates the activity of the ciliated epithelium. Restores the secretion of active immunoglobulin A (specific protection) and the amount of sulfhydryl groups of mucus components (non-specific protection).
Pharmacokinetics
After taking Fluditek inside, the maximum concentration of carbocysteine in the blood and the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract is noted after 2-3 hours, in the mucous membrane it remains for 8 hours.
The drug is excreted mainly in the urine: in the form of metabolites and unchanged.
