Release form and composition
The drug is produced in the form of a cream for external use 1% + 5%: a thick mass from light yellow to yellow with a greenish tinge with the smell of dimethyl sulfoxide (10, 20, 25, 30, 50 or 100 g each in aluminum tubes, in a cardboard box 1 tube and instructions for the use of Teraflex Hondrocrem Forte).
1 g of cream contains:
- active ingredients: meloxicam - 10 mg, chondroitin sodium sulfate - 50 mg;
- auxiliary components: liquid paraffin, propylene glycol, dimethyl sulfoxide, cetostearyl alcohol (cetyl alcohol - up to 60%, stearyl alcohol - not less than 40%), sodium disulfite, petroleum jelly, macrogol cetostearate, imidourea, water.

Teraflex Hondrocrem Forte is a combined drug for external use that has chondroprotective, anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. Due to the combination of two active components, its use stimulates tissue repair in osteoarthritis and osteochondrosis, slowing down the progression of the disease, helps to increase the mobility of the joints and reduce their swelling.
The chondroprotective effect of the cream is provided by a high-molecular mucopolysaccharide - chondroitin sulfate, which is a natural component of cartilage tissue. Improving phosphorus-calcium metabolism in cartilage tissue, it inhibits enzymes that cause damage to cartilage tissue, slows down the processes of its degeneration and destruction, preventing the collapse of connective tissue. Chondroitin sulfate stimulates the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans, potentiates the restoration of the cartilaginous surfaces of the joints. Reducing pain in the affected joints increases their mobility.
Meloxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that provides the drug with anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects. Its mechanism of action is due to the selective inhibition of COX-2 (cyclooxygenase-2). By causing a disturbance in the metabolism of arachidonic acid, meloxicam reduces the amount of prostaglandins in the inflammation focus, which are mediators of pain and inflammation. Meloxicam has no negative effect on cartilage tissue and proteoglycan synthesis by chondrocytes of articular cartilage.

Contraindications
