Sialor aqua is a drug for the treatment of nasal diseases.
Release form and composition
Dosage form - nasal drops: clear or slightly opalescent liquid (2, 5, 10, 15 or 20 ml in a dropper tube, in a cardboard box 1, 10 or 20 dropper tubes of 2 ml, or 5, 10 or 20 tubes - 5 or 10 ml droppers, or 1 dropper tube containing 10, 15 or 20 ml of solution).
Composition of 100 ml drops:
- active substance: sea water - 5 ml;
- auxiliary component: purified water - up to 100 ml.
The content of trace elements in the solution (not less):
- sodium: 2.5 mg / ml;
- magnesium: 0.35 mg / ml;
- calcium: 0.008 mg / ml;
- potassium: 0.1 mg / ml;
- bicarbonates: 0.03 mg / ml;
- chlorides: 3.5 mg / ml;
- sulfates: 1.5 mg / ml.

Pharmacodynamics
Sialor Aqua helps to maintain the physiological state of the nasal mucosa, liquefies mucus, and also helps to normalize its production by the goblet cells of the mucous membrane. Trace elements contained in seawater stimulate recovery processes, reduce inflammation, normalize the function of the ciliated epithelium, thereby increasing the resistance of the mucous membrane to the penetration of viruses and pathogenic bacteria, contributing to its purification.
Indications for use
- adenoids;
- rhinitis (acute, allergic, vasomotor);
- chronic diseases of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses, nasopharynx;
- prevention of nasal infections;
- washing the wounds of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses before and after surgery;
- hygiene procedures of the nasal cavity (including in infants).
Contraindications
According to the instructions, Sialor Aqua is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Instructions for the use of Sialor Aqua: method and dosage
The drug is used intranasally by instilling drops into each nasal passage.
The recommended dosage of Sialor Aqua for children in the treatment of diseases of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses and nasopharynx:
- children under 1 year old: 1-2 drops 1-3 times a day;
- children from 1 to 7 years old: 2 drops 4 times a day;
- children from 7 to 16 years old: 2 drops 4-6 times a day.
For medicinal purposes, adults are prescribed 2-3 drops 4-8 times a day.
Duration of use - 2-4 weeks, it is possible to repeat the course in a month.
Recommended dosage for prophylaxis:
- children under 1 year: 1-2 drops 2-3 times a day, or treatment of the nasal cavity with turundas soaked in Sialor aqua, 2 times a day;
- children from 1 to 7 years old: 1-2 drops 1-3 times a day;
- children from 7 to 16 years old: 2 drops 2-4 times a day;
- adults: 2-3 drops 3-6 times a day.
Hygienic use of the drug to soften and remove mucus from the nose: the drug is instilled repeatedly, blotting excess fluid with a handkerchief. For children under the age of 2 years, this procedure is carried out in a lying position on its side, washing the upper nasal passage, then the procedure is repeated for the other nasal passage, turning the child over on the other side. For children over 2 years of age and adults, washing is carried out by tilting the head to one side and treating the upper nasal passage, then the procedure is repeated for the other nostril.
Side effects
When using Sialor Aqua, it is possible to develop allergic reactions and a feeling of discomfort in the nose (at the beginning of use).
