Debridate is an antispasmodic drug that increases motility and general bowel tone.
Release form and composition
Debridate is available in the following dosage forms:
- Capsules (10 pcs. In blisters, 2 blisters in a cardboard box);
- Powder for preparation of suspension for oral administration: the suspension prepared from the powder has a pleasant orange flavor (152.5 g each in dark glass vials for preparing 250 ml of suspension, 1 bottle in a cardboard box).
The active substance is trimebutin:
- Capsules - 150 mg / 1 pc.;
- Suspension - 24 mg / 5 ml (1 teaspoon) or 72 mg / 15 ml (1 tablespoon).
Indications for use
Debridate is used to treat polymorphic symptoms of gastroenterological-type diseases related to irritable bowel syndrome (functional pathology of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT), which can manifest itself with flatulence, diarrhea and / and constipation, intestinal spasms, abdominal pain and colic), namely:
- Pain in the abdomen and pelvis, localized in the upper, lower abdomen, and in other areas;
- Diseases of the peritoneum, digestive organs, esophagus, stomach and duodenum, liver, gallbladder, biliary tract and pancreas;
- Constipation;
- Noninfectious gastroenteritis and unspecified colitis;
- Non-infectious enteritis and colitis;
- Flatulence and related conditions;
- Symptoms and signs of diseases related to the digestive system and abdominal cavity;
- Functional diarrhea;
- Other diseases of the intestines and digestive organs;
- Others, including unspecified, pain in the abdomen;
- Other functional intestinal disorders;
- Diarrhea and gastroenteritis presumably of infectious etiology.
Contraindications
The only contraindication to the use of the drug is hypersensitivity to its components.
It is undesirable to use Debridat in the first trimester of pregnancy and during lactation, since there is no clinical information about the safety of its use. According to the results of experimental studies, no teratogenic and / or embryotoxic effects on the fetus have been identified.
Method of administration and dosage
Debridate is taken orally.
For adults, the drug is prescribed in a single dose of 1 capsule or 2 tablespoons of the suspension, the frequency of administration is 3 times a day.
Children Debridat should be taken as a suspension for oral administration. Depending on age, the following dosage regimen is prescribed:
- Up to 6 months: 1/2 teaspoon 2-3 times a day;
- From 6 months to 1 year: 1 teaspoon 2 times a day;
- From 1 to 5 years: 1 teaspoon 3 times a day;
- From 5 years old: 2 teaspoons 3 times a day.
Side effects
When treating with Debridate, skin reactions are possible in some cases.
Reliable information about an overdose has not been reported.

For patients with diabetes mellitus, it is important to consider that the composition of the powder for the preparation of a suspension for oral administration contains sugar.
Drug interactions
There is no information on the interaction of Debridate with other drugs.

Terms and conditions of storage
Store in a dry, dark place out of reach of children, at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C.
The shelf life is 3 years.
The prepared suspension for internal use should be stored in the refrigerator at a temperature of 2 to 6 ° C, no longer than 3 weeks.
