Valocormid is a sedative with cardiotonic and antispasmodic effects.
Release form and composition
Valocormid is available in the form of drops for oral administration: liquid with a transparent structure, brown-greenish color, with the smell of menthol and valerian (25 ml each in orange glass bottles or dropper bottles, in a cardboard box 1 bottle or dropper bottle, or without packs).
30 ml drops contain:
- active ingredients: sodium bromide - 4 g, belladonna tincture - 5 ml, lily of the valley tincture - 10 ml, valerian tincture - 10 ml, L-menthol - 0.25 g;
- auxiliary component: purified water.
Indications for use
Taking drops is indicated for dysfunction of the cardiovascular system as a sedative.
Contraindications
- age up to 18 years;
- endocarditis, myocarditis, severe cardiosclerosis;
- angle-closure glaucoma;
- respiratory failure;
- renal failure;
- liver failure;
- period of gestation and breastfeeding;
- individual hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
It should be taken with caution in case of liver diseases, brain diseases, traumatic brain injury, alcoholism.
Method of administration and dosage
Drops are taken orally before meals, after dilution in water (30-50 ml).
Recommended dosage: 10–20 drops 2–3 times a day. The doctor sets the duration of treatment individually.

Against the background of the use of Valocormid, the appearance of heartburn, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, arrhythmias, allergic reactions, muscle weakness, paresis of accommodation is possible.

The amount of absolute alcohol in the maximum daily dose is 0.42 g.
The drops affect the patient's ability to drive vehicles and perform other potentially hazardous activities, therefore, during the period of taking the drug, refrain from these activities, including driving a car.
Drug interactions
With concomitant therapy with drugs that have a depressing effect on the central nervous system (including sleeping pills), Valocormid enhances their effect.
