Drug interactions

Since Binavit is a complex drug, when combined with certain drugs / substances, interactions with its active substances may develop.

Thiamin:

  • solutions containing sulfites: complete disintegration of thiamine, while in the presence of thiamine decomposition products, other vitamins are inactivated;
  • oxidizing and reducing substances, including mercury chloride, iodide, carbonate, acetate, tannic acid, iron-ammonium citrate, phenobarbital, riboflavin, benzylpenicillin, dextrose, metabisulfite: incompatibility;
  • copper ions having a pH of more than 3.0: accelerates the destruction of thiamine.

Cyanocobalamin is incompatible with heavy metal salts and ascorbic acid.

Pyridoxine is not prescribed concurrently with levodopa, cycloserine, D-penicillamine, epinephrine, norepinephrine, sulfonamides, since with this combination, a decrease in its effects is noted.

Due to the lidocaine, which is part of the drug, the additional use of norepinephrine and epinephrine can cause an increase in side effects on the heart (in case of an overdose of local anesthetics, these drugs cannot be prescribed).
